Story
Being one of the guys isn't all it's cracked up to be. So when journalist Chastity O'Neill returns to her hometown, she decides it's time to start working on some of those feminine wiles. Two tiny problems: one - she's five feet and 11 inches of rock-solid girl power; two - she's cursed with four alpha-male older brothers. While doing a story on local heroes, she meets a hunky doctor, and things start to look up. Now there's only one problem: Trevor Meade, her first love and the one man she's never quite gotten over....

Focus on family

The main character, Chastity, was genuine in her relationships except the one. It had a somewhat predictable ending, but a good one.

The meaning of family was evident throughout the book and how anyone can have a family even if not biological.

I loved the true southern accents and the twists of the plot. The story seemed as if it could easily be real. This is my favorite book in the series. Well done!

This story left me heartbroken for the children who were affected. While fictional, it was based on a true story that is unthinkable. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books based on true stories, but be prepared for the heart wrenching surprise of this account of innocent children and their families.

Slow
Reviewed: 12-29-21
The summary of the book caught my attention, but after listening to it for only a few minutes I was bored. I always give books a chance because even good ones start slow sometimes. I never finished this one because it was slow and boring for so long, I gave up.
