Story
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Best "Shooter" type sequel I've come across. After two days of work gym and aimlessly driving to keep the story going I finished the book in record time for my pace. I usually make books last a week or two, but found this one very thrilling and distracting from my reality.
Thanks to the Joe Rogan podcast with Jack Carr, I purchased the book and am very excited for the Amazon prime series that will be released soon.

In this thrilling narrative, O’Reilly blends primary, never-before-released interview material with a history that recounts Trump’s childhood and family and the factors from his life and career that forged the worldview that the president of the United States has taken to the White House. Not a partisan pro-Trump or anti-Trump book, this is an up-to-the-minute, intimate view of the man and his sphere of influence.

amazing book, narrator could not clear his throat
Reviewed: 12-07-18
the book was absolutely incredible. The story had so much that I never heard anywhere. Stephen e Ambrose is one of my favorite authors. Research that he did is incredible and very deep. my only problem, is with the narrator. It seemed that he never completely cleared his throat. He should have drank a glass of water before he began. But other than that he did a fantastic job.

Story
As a SEAL on combat deployment in Iraq, Mike Ritland saw a military working dog in action and instantly knew he found his true calling. While the SEAL teams had used dogs in the past, they never had dogs trained specifically by SEALs, for SEALs. To fill this void, Ritland started his own company after he retired, training and supplying dogs for the West Coast SEAL teams. He knew that less than 1% of all working dogs had what it takes to contribute to the success of our nation’s elite combat units. He searched the globe for animals who fit this specific profile.

In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

the parallels between this book and the United states today are very shocking, and even though it's been 61 years since Atlas Shrugged was first published, I find this book inspirational and educational through a story that makes it hard to put down. Since finishing this book I find myself apart of a brotherhood of readers.

The Only Thing Worth Dying For chronicles the most important mission in the early days of the Global War on Terror, when the men on the ground knew little about the enemy - and their commanders in Washington knew even less. With unprecedented access to surviving members of ODA 574, key war planners, and Karzai himself, award-winning author Eric Blehm cuts through the noise of politicians and high-level military officials to narrate, for the first time, a story of uncommon bravery and terrible sacrifice.
