Story
For the first time, Regan Gallagher is facing the world without her best friend by her side—no, Sutton isn't dead but she is in Rome, following her dreams. And Regan really is thrilled for her. Left to her own devices, she's doing . . . fine. Oh, except for the fact that her new roommate, Emma Bordeaux, has hated Regan since the literal day they'd met two years ago. Sure, most of their interactions end in disaster and Regan is the root cause, but they are all accidents! She'll win Emma over though; she's determined to make this living arrangement work come hell or high water.

Love love Hailey Cass. But why was Charolette given a southern accent?
Reviewed: 02-24-25
I LOVE anything and everything Hailey Cass. This story is long but good. It was really, really refreshing for Hailey to finally introduce a character that isn’t thin and to have Regan’s attraction to her be so genuine and authentic. Not like “I like you and your body grew on me.” But like authentic sees-no-wrong attraction to Emma’s body.
Note for the narrator- what the heck???? So jarring for Charlotte to suddenly have a southern accent when she hasn’t had one in the other 2 books centering her character. AND she didn’t consistently have the accent. I don’t understand. It’s the only flaw in the audiobook.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when getting this audiobook. It was very theatrical and steamy. If you have a phobia of snakes, go ahead and skip this one.

I really loved this story and could identify with parts of almost every character. My only note would be on the narrator. There are some narrators who read you a book and there are narrators who tell you a story. More often than not, this narrator was reading a book. In the beginning it sort of took me out of the story but it got a lot better toward the end.

Irresponsible
Reviewed: 07-30-24
It was very, very irresponsible of the author not to include a trigger warning regarding the rap3 scene in chapter 9. It feels more like the “love” between Jorden and Syn is actually Syn having Stockholm’s Syndrome following the rap3. There is a line between bdsm and assault and that line is consent.
If this type of content is triggering for you, grab the cliff notes on the important pieces of the plot and characters and skip this one.

Good story - narrator has a lisp
Reviewed: 07-07-24
If a lisp is something that bothers you, then go ahead and skip the audiobook version of this one. With that aside, the story was cute! A nice distraction from reality. 100% was not prepared for the an@l play scenes but I can appreciate the representation across the seggsual spectrum. ⚠️ Trigger warning - there are quite a few mentions of SA and DV when scenes about the protagonist occur.

Story
Have you ever had a crush on your babysitter? Taryn Ross sure did. Sixteen-year-old Charlotte was sophisticated, thoughtful, gorgeous, and fun. Taryn counted the minutes until they’d hang out. But Charlotte and her family moved away. Now a transfer student at Hillspoint University, Taryn is ready to officially come out when she runs into a familiar face at a party. Charlie, now a grad student, insists on walking a drunk Taryn home. To the detriment of Taryn’s heart (and libido), Charlie has only grown kinder (and hotter) with time.

Niche trigger warning
Reviewed: 06-26-24
I’m part of the way through this book and feel like I owe it to others who have contamination OCD to warn that there are some very descriptive scenes of someone having a cold and it transferring to someone else. The author goes into very vivid, descriptive language regarding the symptoms.
I’ll pick this back up when it feels less like ERT and more like a romance novel. 😅
