Publisher's summary

Syn is a womanizer and a rogue. Her name fits her perfectly, for she is indeed a sinner - flawed and unrepentant. She also happens to be the best thief in all of Arianthem, a career that would have been most lucrative without her inconvenient attacks of conscience. She stays one step ahead of the Guild of Thieves, a shadowy organization that seeks to recruit her, and failing that, to stop her permanently.

Syn enters a contract with Raine and her dragon lover to steal a series of enchanted stones, but before she can even begin her spree, she runs headlong into the roadblock that is Lady Jorden. Jorden, a noblewoman far above Syn's station in life, pursues Syn like no other. And Syn, who has run from everything in her life, finds herself wanting to give in to those blue-green eyes and that wicked smile.

10 out of 10

I recently started listening to this series and I’ve been hooked since the first book. Samantha Sabina is becoming my favorite author, her sapphic stories leaving me immersed in the world, the characters, the drama, humor, and action scenes, both inside and outside the bedroom. The story telling is amazing. The narrator really brought this book to life and I’m becoming a fan of her as well. Vivienne LaRue’s voices are distinguishable and appropriate for the dialogue, inflecting and changing depending on emotion, not monotone or drab. I especially enjoyed that.

About this book in particular, I was so delighted for the majority of the story. I loved the craziness of Jorden and found Syn’s misfortune at times a touch hilarious as well. I had this stupid grin on my face while I listened. This story is what makes a sexy, fun, exciting tale. This chronicle is unfolding very nicely and I’m glad I stumbled upon this refreshing author.

Love everything about it

Love everything about this book. Character development, story arcs, heated romance… what’s not to like?!?

Irresponsible

It was very, very irresponsible of the author not to include a trigger warning regarding the rap3 scene in chapter 9. It feels more like the “love” between Jorden and Syn is actually Syn having Stockholm’s Syndrome following the rap3. There is a line between bdsm and assault and that line is consent.
If this type of content is triggering for you, grab the cliff notes on the important pieces of the plot and characters and skip this one.
