Story
When The Rules was published in 1995, its message was straightforward: be mysterious. But for women looking for love today, it's not quite so simple. In a world of instant messaging, location check-ins, and status updates, where hook-ups have become the norm and formal one-on-one dates seem a thing of the past, it's difficult to retain the air of mystery that keeps men interested. Now, with help from their daughters, the original Rules Girls, Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider, share their thoroughly modern, fresh take on dating that will help women in today's information age create the happy love lives they want and deserve.

Not for the faint of heart!

After reading several reviews of previous Rule books recordings, I was a little hesitant to purchase. I was pleasantly surprised. Narration was professional. informative, and friendly.
The Rules are no joke. They work! I liked that not only was the information pertinent to today but examples of how to practice were also given. I love info but find mostvtimes the authors live one to just figure out how to apply it. Not here.
Thank you Rules Mamas and Daughters. You hit this one out of the park!

Story
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

The book does start out slow even though there is mystery and intrigue from the start. Stick with it. The plot thickens.....nicely!
