Contrived relationship with her bestie

The story is cute, but I really dislike how they characterize the best friend and it definitely seems like someone who doesn't understand women's issues wrote in detail about the difficulties women experience with their bodies after childbirth. It's a little annoying and the parts that are supposed to be funny seem a little forced.

Narrator ruined funny parts

This was a great story, but the narrator ruined what was supposed to be funny because of how contrived the voice for the character was. She is also very monotone and doesn't give the characters much depth or feeling, which really takes away from the story. Would be much better read by a different person.

Great book but narrator detracts

This book has a lead character who is in her twenties, but the narrator definitely sounds to be significantly older than this and makes the story awkward as the voice doesn't sound like it goes with the character. She also sounds like she has a dry mouth at times. This story would have been much better if it didn't sound like Grandma was reading it aloud. The narrator does a good job, but the voice does not align with the characters and makes this book feel awkward.
