About this listen

She was ready to let her heart run wild....

Merry Stewart has had enough! Enough of her brothers, whose behavior would make even the most improper lady blush. Enough of their Highland home, which would surely have fallen to ruin were it not for her. She dreams of escaping into the arms of her betrothed, Alexander d'Aumesbery-even though they haven't yet met. But when they do, Merry is devastated. It seems he's no better than the men in her family.

So beautiful, so brazen . . . From the moment he meets Merry, Alexander is determined to make her his. Desperate to convince her he's nothing like the members of her roguish clan, he will prove he is every bit the well-mannered gentleman. Yet, beneath it all beats a heart as intense and uncontrollable as hers. And finally, when his life is threatened, Merry realizes he's the husband she's been waiting for . . . and their passion becomes the one thing that cannot be tamed.

Eh

I wish I hadn't used my credit for this story. The narrator wasn't bad. I've heard worse. The story was depressing, with very little light heartedness. L.S. has written BETTER than this!

Feeling’s can be so wrong

I find myself feeling the characters these stories so beautifully depict. So much so that while working and not being able to listen, I think about them and worry about how they were feeling the last time I was able to listen. Especially Mary, my heart went out to her! I’ve even got use to the narrator, who did so much better in this story. 5 stars all around.

This is a great series

Light funny listening, mystery subplot that doesn't over power. It takes a while to get used to the narrator but after listening I really did like her heavy scottish accent.

Great Highland romance with humor!

This audionbook is the last in a series by Lynsay Sands. I found it to be delightfully entertaining, with great moments of love, romance, and parts that made me laugh. ( The wedding night scene is Priceless!).the heroine has waited for her betrothed to come marry/ rescue her for years, but he’s off in the Crusades. When he comes home, her drunken father (who is also the Laird and father to Kane in the second book) and drunken brothers take it upon themselves to deliver her to her groom in England. Now the groom, Alex, also happens to be the brother of Eveline from book one and stepson of the same stepmother Edda who tormented poor Eveline. There’s lots of stuff going on behind the scene which I can’t tell you, but it’s a story that is great listening and it ties all three audiobooks up in the end! Narration was well done as well.
