Story
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

Couldn't stop listening
Reviewed: 07-24-20
I got recommended to listen to this book by my wife after she heard about the author and book in an interview with Joe Rogen. I was a bit sceptic in the beginning after reading the summary, but boy was I wrong. I got hooked after the first 5min and just couldn't stop listening to it. It's excellent preformed and the story just keeps dragging you further and further down the rabbit hole. No matter what you believe happened or didn't happen, after listening to this audio book there's no doubt that foul play was involved and that the governments and people of powers interest will always go before the interest of the people.

Story
Science fiction allows us to go places we can only dream of seeing - other worlds, distant stars, entirely different galaxies. While not every story is concerned with the hard science behind space travel and other futuristic ventures, fiction can give us amazing insight into what we could be capable of and what we dream of doing. In these 10 lectures, Professor Erin Macdonald interweaves real science and the achievements of the imagination to reveal the truth that underlies our favorite stories and sheds light on what the future may hold.

Great book with an interesting story, just took me a while to get over listening to a Brandon Sanderson book not being read by Micke and Kate. But Suzy Jackson did a great job.
