From Moon Unit Zappa, the daughter of musical visionary Frank Zappa, comes a memoir of growing up in her unconventional household in 1970s Los Angeles, coming of age in the Hollywood Hills in the 1980s as the “Valley Girl,” gaining momentum as an accidental VJ on a new network called MTV, and finding herself after losing her father, then her mother, and the testing of her most important relationships.

~Mesmerizing Memoir~
Reviewed: 08-30-24
Moon Unit Zappa's memior "Earth to Moon" is a melodious menagerie of what makes up the very essence of the heart. Moon's heart. Her words are soft, encapsulating, sharp, and dynamic. She paint a mind-blowing consequential picture of the microcosmic lifestyle and challenges of day to day life in the Zappa household. It is both humorous and melancholic, with many hold your breath moments.
Thanx Moon Unit

Wonderfully Creepy Red!

This (pardon the pun) is a Susan May “Keeper!’ The story is quite imaginative with a Rod Serling sorta fling to it. Rory Fine is one hell-of-a character, and I was able to empathize with his “never take things at face value” attitude. The interactions (and non-interactions) that happens on Rory’s bus are quick to grab you in with each person he encounters. A wonderfully written arced tale with a crazy person, suspense and romance. Rory Fine’s ability is a gift like no others, but would you honestly be able to control such a thing with unknown consequences? I really enjoyed this book, and in the end, "The Troubles Keeper” now has me paranoid (sometimes :O) while on public transportation…

Story
Ten-year-old Nem has just witnessed her mother's brutal murder and her life appears destined for tragedy. Until, that is, she finds her mother‘s old green journal which holds an incredible secret. This innocent looking book seems to contain the power over luck. As she uses it, Nem discovers the diary keeps a strange kind of karmic balance, that in gifting someone good fortune she must steal another's first. All it takes is a simple entry. There's dangers though, and not just for others but also for Nem.

A Voracious Read (to say the least)!

This one was very difficult to put down. With all the twists and turns from page to page, I was totally engaged in the lives, madness, and desperation delivered by some of the most interesting characters developed in a fictional book world. Don't bother to guess what's next, you'll never know what's going to happen.
"Best Seller" is a monster of a book that any horror buff would enjoy immensely (and then some)...

Nicely Read

First thing I liked about this book was the reading. I thought Amy McFadden did a wonderfully emotional good job with this story and its feel. She bought out the cornucopia mind-set of the main character. The story itself wasn't exactly what I was expecting, it was a bit to predictable. I was able to fi5put the culprit very early in the book. nevertheless, I enjoyed reading this book very much and would recommend it...

When Dr. Louis Creed takes a new job and moves his family to the idyllic, rural town of Ludlow, Maine, this new beginning seems too good to be true. Yet despite Ludlow's tranquility, there's an undercurrent of danger that lingers...like the graveyard in the woods near the Creeds' home, where generations of children have buried their beloved pets.

"Brilliant!a"

All three 'Wise Monkeys,' looked, listend and "audibly" responded to the masterful writing that's within the pages of this intense graphic novel. It has a way of creeping into your emotions with a swift kick of indifference and yanks constantly. This particular piece truly had me riveted and not likely to be visiting any (S)cemeteries any time soon. Great listen, highly recommended to anyone with a iron stomach and a fan of the bizarre genre...
