Story
Set in contemporary San Francisco and in a Chinese village where Peking Man is being unearthed, The Bonesetter's Daughter is an excavation of the human spirit: the past, its deepest wounds, its most profound hopes. Tan, author of The Joy Luck Club, brilliantly presents "storytelling in its oldest and truest form".

Incredible and beautifully told Journey

Michelle tells the story of her background in Chicago, how she a Barack met and their political journey. So strong and told with such honor, beauty and dignity. I’ve always admired them both and and now I even admire them both knowing their history and story.

Story
I sincerely believe it is extremely important for legitimately disabled Americans to be cared for in a country that takes pride in helping those who are less-fortunate - not those who are looking for a free ride or for a chance to scam the system but who are truly and sincerely in need. There are policies practiced or enforced by the social security disability program for example that cause deserving applicants to be denied (the main subject of this audiobook) and in some cases, less-deserving or undeserving applicants to be accepted by the same benefits program.

A little helpful??

I wish there had been more advice on how to possibly speed up the process or other reasons why it takes so long to get through the process. Personally I feel they deny on purpose so test you'll give up and they won't have to pay you. I also believe that's why so many do is because they can't survive with no income. Sounds like it almost worked in James case.
I feel he was a bit monotone in his reading. Not much reflection in his voice made it hard t keep listening.

Story
A highly decorated captain in the U.S. Army, Luis Montalvan never backed down from a challenge during his two tours of duty in Iraq. After returning home, however, the pressures of his physical wounds, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder began to take their toll. In constant physical pain, he soon found himself unable to climb a simple flight of stairs or face a bus ride to the VA hospital. He drank; he argued; he cut himself off from those he loved. Then Luis met Tuesday, a beautiful and sensitive golden retriever....

"I've experienced a whole lot the last few years and I have a lot to share. So I hope that you'll take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy the words I've put together for you in this book. I think you'll find I've left no stone unturned, no door unopened, no window unbroken, no rug unvacuumed, no ivories untickled. What I'm saying is, let us begin, shall we?" (Ellen DeGeneres)
