Story
Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business. Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.

He narrated everyone like they were caricatures and cartoons. The female and older voices were cringeworthy.

Great listen read for the road. Lots of laughs and insights from Gina's brutal honesty. I admire her tenacity to keep pushing herself further to be the best that she can be.

Story
Minnie Cooper knows two things with certainty: that her New Year's birthday is unlucky, and that it's all because of Quinn Hamilton, a man she's never met. Their mothers gave birth to them at the same hospital just after midnight on New Year's Day, but Quinn was given the cash prize for being the first baby born in London in 1990 - and the name Minnie was meant to have, as well. With luck like that, it's no wonder each of her birthdays has been more of a disaster than the one before.

I enjoyed it. I remember my pen-pal and how enriching they were to ny life. I don't think people do that anymore, but it was nice to imagine it with a romantic twist.

Conveys the truth in emotion
Reviewed: 01-06-19
I appreciated the realness in how the characters related to one another and the lack of sugar coating these horrific events. I take to heart that this is historical FICTION based on the lives of two people and find truth in that. If people want to get hung up on small details, well...you have missed the point haven't you? Great book!!

A mysterious stranger known as 'The Wolf' leaves an infant with the sisters of Santo Spirito. A tiny silver key hidden in her wrappings is the only clue to the child's identity and so begins a story as intriguing and beautiful as the city of Florence itself. Belinda Alexandra's new novel, Tuscan Rose, is set in Italy during the time of Mussolini. This richly woven tale of passion, love, longing, witchcraft and magic promises to be everything her readers love and more.

Can we edit out drinking water and swallowing before reading? It takes away from the great narration and images of the story.
