amazing book really gives a good tone to it all.

Not overly religious but very well rounded. An apocalypse story that it could very well end up being true one day. Family basis at times it makes you laugh at times it makes you think.

Isaac Race thought he'd found a new family and home. A new Life. He had, but it's all about to be snatched away. When an ambitious enemy launches a sneak attack on the USA, his peaceful life is shattered and Isaac, by his very nature a loner, must band together with a ragtag group of survivors to make their way to a sanctuary, three states away in the depths of a vicious east coast winter.

Story
The smallest of creatures often carry the sharpest of stings. Lydia Chapman is just such a vampire. Her small stature hides a mighty wit, a razor-edged tongue, and an implacable protector of the only natural-born vampire in existence. Here is the back story of the snarkiest hero on Team Gordon/Demidova, told in her own words, just for fans of the Demon Accords. Go ahead and underestimate her ... it'll be fun.

Where is our narrator.
Reviewed: 02-22-25
This narrator really doesn't have the skill to be reading these books. where is james patrick Cronin? it was interesting to get backstory on lydia. and the book does move a little bit farther along on the mainstream. but I wasn't really a fan of the back and forth in the timeline. and as I said before, the narrator just doesn't have the skill or heart.

a look at the lucky ones.
Reviewed: 02-21-25
Every one of these books is worth the credits. this one particularly was nice to see how the lucky ones live, and if you don't know who I mean, by the lucky ones, you haven't been paying attention. it also gives you an idea of the stupidity of general humans within the series. there's definitely humor romance and excitement as normal. and of course, as usual, extremely well written and narrated, this narrator is my favorite.

Oliver Wyman Is the only one that should be narrating these books. Let alone this person who can't even do a male voice at all. I won't be buying another book from audible written by this author under a different narrator. Worst narration ever.

Story
Amanda and Clay head out to a remote corner of Long Island expecting a vacation: a quiet reprieve from life in New York City, quality time with their teenage son and daughter, and a taste of the good life in the luxurious home they’ve rented for the week. But a late-night knock on the door breaks the spell. Ruth and G. H. are an older couple—it’s their house, and they’ve arrived in a panic. They bring the news that a sudden blackout has swept the city. But in this rural area—with the TV and internet now down, and no cell phone service—it’s hard to know what to believe.

I was expecting mystery and got And sure got one in the way that there's no conclusion to this story at all. A lot of stuff about how terrible people are. A lot of Stuff about race and judgment. Is no real action. Is probably the most vague book i've ever listened to. Not with your money or credits. But the narrator was pretty good.
