Story
I’m a golden boy. A genius law student, the heir to the Carson empire, and the dutiful son. Or, at least, that's what it looks like from the outside. Deep inside, I have the urge to set the world on fire. I keep these impulses in check, rarely indulging in mayhem. Until one night of debauchery backfires, and I'm caught by a villain. I bury the entire ordeal with the rest of my skeletons. That is, until that night walks into my classroom in the form of my new professor. Kayden Lockwood.

Too much sex
Reviewed: 03-21-25
I am all for sexy books, but there was SO much in this book. I wish there was more on the background of Kayden... and Gareth was a bit too dramatic to me. I am also disappointed that Vaughn is going to be gay in his book. I love a good MM book, but Blood of My Monster is my favorite books of all time and I wanted I more relatable sequel. I love the depth to the characters personalities and emotions. They are raw and real. Rina Kent writes beautifully and each of her books is a piece of art. Thank you for giving us Rina verse!

Cheating WTF?
Reviewed: 02-26-25
There's cheating... ugh, I wanted to love this book, but it was just annoying. The FML was whining and weak at the beginning then the ML cheated... that's the worst troupe. I'm not impressed, this book gave me bad feelings after it was over. I hate cheaters.

I’m a curvy sports geek. Liam’s a hockey god. He’s way out of my league… My brother’s best friend is acting really weird. Flowers keep showing up. He sends me Cameos and concert tickets. Then, there’s the job offer… Well, first, there was the fact that he tracked me down to NYC. It’s really complicated, okay? But so are my feelings for him. I’ve been ignoring them for so long that they became a wall I’m comfortable hiding behind.

I sit on a throne of sins. Silent in the shadows, untouchable like the King of the Underworld himself. Few even know the sound of my voice, but those who fear me call me Monster. My men just call me Pakhan. To her, I am Nikolai. Her savior. Her captor. Her lover. With hair as bright as the sun, a face that could sink a thousand ships, and more curves than I can handle, Cassiopeia. Is. Everything. But she’s in danger. And safety comes with a price tag.

Buy it, use your credit now. Going in I had no idea how good it was going to be. First, possive male lead? yes please! Is he a grooming her? Probably, but she likes it. Also, the female lead is plus sized. It was unexpected, and a size 20... this is fantastic. Not cringe worthy at all, and the narrative is fantastic too btw...

Story
As the youngest daughter in a wealthy, powerful family, everyone assumes I'm just an innocent, sheltered heiress. Especially Reid Taylor, my overbearing bodyguard, who's made it his mission to keep me in line and under his watchful eye. He's a former Army sergeant, now head of security for my family, and he's determined to keep me in check, enforcing his strict rules with an iron will and expecting nothing less than total obedience. But I'm not some meek little girl.

It's cheesy, hot but cheesy. I enjoyed the smoking hot shut, but it doesn't out shine the rest of the story. the characters aren't developed enough for me and it's predictable. I enjoy Zoe Blake when it's just Zoey Blake.

Trust no one. I learn that the hard way after hockey star Carter Masters stabs me in the back and turns our rival school against me. Suddenly, I'm public enemy number one at Framingham State. Just a year later, that's exactly where I'm forced to enroll. No one has forgotten what I did. The anti-Sydney campaign is led by two gorgeous, psycho hockey players. Oliver Ruiz, captain, and Penn Walker, the devastating goalie.

Bruised and abused, and victim to a loveless household, I shimmered with new life the moment he found me drowning my sorrows in a lake beneath the stars. A chance encounter. An unspoken connection. I was smitten. He was curious. But, as everyone knew, fate could be decidedly cruel. He called me Halley, like the comet. I called him Reed. And my best friend? Well… she called him Dad.

It took until the middle of the book before I found out that Cash was Irish...
