Story
Adam Binder has the Sight. It’s a power that runs in his bloodline: the ability to see beyond this world and into another, a realm of magic populated by elves, gnomes, and spirits of every kind. Years after his brother Bobby had him committed to a psych ward, Adam is ready to come to grips with who he is, to live his life on his terms, to find love, and maybe even use his magic to do some good. Hoping to track down his missing father, Adam follows a trail of cursed artifacts to Denver, only to discover that an ancient and horrifying spirit has taken possession of Bobby’s wife.

The name drew me in but the awesome story telling and world building kept me reading this book. The narrator is great, and so is the author. I will also say for the first time in a long time a book had some twists that my autistic self could not see coming. Patterns stick out to me, snd because of that twists seem to become very easy to predict. I explain it like the book is a hallway and you know that the story is about to make a left turn down the hallway, and it does then the clues let you know this time we are going right instead of left(the twist) so it tends to be glaring for me. David (author) decided instead of going any direction we were just going to tranced into another dimension. Now that being said a couple of mid book twists were easy to see but the ending and its ending twists i did not see coming. This has become one of my top 10 books. Im about to start the sequel.

Fantasies but.....

This book is fantastic however, the narration is rough at first. She doesn't sound anything like you'd imagine the characters. As time goes on though, she grows on you.

For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.
