Critic reviews

"New Moon will more than feed the bloodthirsty hankerings of fans of the first volume and leave them breathless for the third." (School Library Journal)

"Bella's dismay at being ordinary (after all, she's only human) will strike a chord even among girls who have no desire to be immortal, and like the vampires who watch Bella bleed with 'fevered eyes', teens will relish this new adventure and hunger for more." (Booklist)

Consumes you

I'm loving this story. I just finished the second book and can't wait to listen to the 3rd & 4th ones. I'm not going to give away the story, but I will say that you will get so consumed in it that you can't either put it down or you will dream about it when the story starts taking turns that you didn't expect. Love this!!!

Fantastic Unique Series Adults will love also

My thirteen-year-old daughter got me into this series, and I have enjoyed Twilight and New Moon more than the majority of adult novels I've read over the past couple of years. This story had a unique, intriguing protagonist with a quirky personality and an unexpected view of the world. The author has also taken a new twist on a novel about vampires which made it fresh and exciting. The tension and attraction between the mortal sixteen-year-old protagonist and the young vampire she is attracted too, along with the danger of knowing the young girl’s life is at risk every moment she is around him raised the tension and suspense. If you like suspense, romance and vampire stories, you'll love this series. I recommend starting at the beginning of the series, because the second book has a prolonged "dark beginning" that I would have found it hard to get through if I hadn't read the first book.

NUMBER ONE

This book is written by my favorite author, Stephenie Meyer. I am absolutely enchnanted by her series, Twilight. New Moon is the second book in the series out of the present three, although Breaking Dawn, the fourth book, comes out in a little less than a year.
New Moon begins almost exactly where Twilight leaves off (leaving off after the almost fatal vampire attack and the end of Bella's school year). It is now Bella's 18th birthday, and she gets a paper cut, triggering the wild thirst for blood in Jaspar, Edward(Bella's lover)'s brother. Edward painfully decides that Bella's life is in great danger, and cuts himself and his vampire family out of her life by moving, and lying to Bella, saying he no longer loves her. This was not true, but Bella believed him, and the story goes on, and it happens that Bella ends up saving Edward's life before they reunite.
Anyone with any sense of literature would know that this book is quality work. It is truely remarkable. I have been drawn into Meyer's imaginary world where vampires and their enemies, the werewolves, live in secrecy to the unsuspecting humans.

Great story lousy music at the beginning.

Love this book. Have read it multiple times and bought the audible also. At the beginning of the story the music is so overpowering that it's really distracting. Other than that it was great.

Excellent

I loved this book. I thought it was an excellent follow-up to the first book. Incredible character development, with Bella and Jacob. I also loved the ending with them meeting the Volturi. I highly recommend that you read the first book first.

great book, good listen

I read this book then decided it would be a good listen on long car rides. It is hard to get used to hearing someone else read what you have already read in your head, but this was a great listen and a great story to hear again.

My favorites

I can't tell you how many times I've listened to this book. I'm a middle-aged male but this teen supernatural series is one of my favorites. I always like having a story going on in my car, on my headphones or my TV and I often put on the Twilight Series. I wish we would get more of this story in the future.

Still

I like how the movie is presented. Not to stalker-ish and more of a finding connection thing. The books so far are showing that odd I need you like water kind of relationship... which, is not healthY. HOWEVER they have been great! Haha
