this book was good until the end. maybe many liked it but I just think it's messed up. why do that to him she could have just done what she said she was going to do when she found out he cheated. I think it's just bitterness and she should go to jail but I mean hey it happens in the world sometimes I guess. just disgusting. not only did she ruin his life but other people as lives as well. that was just too much. like why!?

good for her first book

I listen to this book within a few days. It's okay. what I didn't like is that why the darker skin girl have to be the one with issues with her self and have to save the white girl. the darker skin girl always thinking about the other ine when she don't ever seem to be thinking about her. This suppose to be a love story and I don't see it, thought the second book would be better and go more unto depth about their love story but it's just repeating the same story from the first book. I got the second book when it came out and I still haven't finished it! I thought this was suppose to be like back in the day but why is some of the language in today terms/way of speaking. The love story is not believable to me and seems forced I didn't even know you can do that in a book. I glad others thought this was an amazing book and I glad they really enjoyed it. I hate I spent my money on the second one! As I said in the title good for her first book ever.

Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

There were multiple people it could have been I love that you had multiple people kept you on your toes. I knew it wasn't him because if you pay really close attention they tell you it's not him already. I still didn't get it until the end thought lol. Good read!!

Story
My darling little boy Albie adores playing at our new neighbours’ house. And after the terrible year we’ve had, I feel so lucky that we can start over in this perfect place, with new friends who treat Albie like the son they never had. He can’t stop talking about the tree house they’re building him, and the cookies they bake together. But as time passes, something starts to feel wrong. Why don’t they ever open the front door more than a crack? They told me they had no children so who does the small pink tricycle I saw in their hall belong to?

I figured it out because of some of the words and clues I felt like she left you just have to remember them. it still was an amazing read to be able listen it unfold. I just found her because of Stephanie Soo podcast! I now bought 4 of her books. 3 physical and two audible and one is the 3 book to the housemaid. if you haven't read it go ahead a give it a try! all I'm saying that I think I might have found a favorite mystery/thiller writer that keeps me on my toes and guessing!!
