Story
John Langan, author of the Bram Stoker Award-winning novel The Fisherman, returns with ten new tales of cosmic horror in Corpsemouth and Other Autobiographies. In these stories, he continues to chart the course of twenty-first century weird fiction, from the unfamiliar to the familial, the unfathomably distant to the intimate.

Horrible Narrator
Reviewed: 11-11-23
The narrator is unbearable with the childish tone and pronunciation of the word “of”.

Too Many Antagonists/Too Stressful
Reviewed: 05-20-23
I’m struggling to get through this one. Especially not that, amongst the other antagonists, the old sheriff met his demise and the new one is just as shady and hate-able. It’s tips this story over onto the stressful side of the stressful/enjoyable scale.

Story
On the Mediterranean Sea, a vacationer logs on to the security-camera feed from his home in Arizona. He sees an intruder. When he shifts to the bedroom camera, he sees the dead body. Martin T. Livermore is the key suspect in the abduction and murder of at least five women, but he's never been this sloppy before. When the FBI finally catches him in Scottsdale, he declares he'll only talk to one person: a retired police officer from Detroit, now a private investigator living in the tiny town of Paradise, Michigan. A man named Alex McKnight.

Great story, but the cat and mouse sequence was painfully long. First time I fast forwarded in this series.
