I love Joe Pickett and the awesome character development of master craftsman C J Box!

The writing is beautifully vivid and descriptive.
The character development and storylines have been excellent. (which is often lacking in LEO/procedurals)
The mysteries are tight with some twists both surprising and worth the ride.
These huge and stunning backdrops of mountain ranges, fields, rivers and wildlife are so well written.
Don’t let all my gushing fool you—your heart will be pounding and the violence can be graphic & break your heart. This is not a “cozy mystery”—these books have “True Grit”.
The narrator does an excellent job keeping MANY characters distinctive and clear. (Thanks also for not making the women sound insipid with whiny falsettos or the men monotonous with depth.)
Invested in the Picketts & So Much More

Would you consider the audio edition of In Plain Sight to be better than the print version?
The way the author can discribe the simplest things for a eletric heater to the dust created by a spooked Pronghorn. C.J.Box makes the book very educational, very entertaining and suppensfull. Can't to listen to the next in the series. Recomend highly if you like to hunt and fish or concerned with the issues of saving the wilderness.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, Nate adds an edgy side to the storyWhich character – as performed by David Chandler – was your favorite?
Nate,Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes if possible. A great traveling book. Still great to listen in 10 to 20 minute intervals if you can shut it off. I will wait in my parking stall to hear what happensAny additional comments?
I highly recommend it . The way he describes the sun, wind, light and feeling of the environment is amazing.Really a great listen

Would you listen to In Plain Sight again? Why?
probably, because a good book is always worth another read. Some times I am out of credits and books so I choose to go back re-listen to certain authors- CJ Box's Joe Pickett would be one of those. I am still going through the series right now thoughWhat did you like best about this story?
Jakes returnWhich character – as performed by David Chandler – was your favorite?
I like all of them but just love Jake.If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
You never know when more family is going to show upAny additional comments?
