Story
In honest, confessional prose, Born on the Bayou - a roller-coaster rags-to-riches story - transports us to a pocket of the South where Lourd learns how to be a man from the two people he looks up to the most: his larger-than-life father, "Puffer", a prominent figure in the oil business; and his successful older brother, Bryan.

Beautiful Work - Captivating Narration
Reviewed: 03-27-19
I love this book. The voice of the author is as soothing as the bayou breeze of his birthplace. His storytelling is cinematic and true, difficult to pause.
Most importantly for this listener, the writer’s authentic sharing has somehow helped me learn to more fully appreciate every remaining moment with my own father, a man I see a bit more clearly, accept more deeply, and cherish more bravely having listened to Born on the Bayou. Beautiful work.

First Day Confidence
Reviewed: 01-12-19
I was recently hired for a sales position at a growing, nationally expanding company. My new sales manager asked me to read The Accidental Sales Person before my first day, so I ordered the paperback copy immediately and downloaded the Audible version to listen while I read and while I’m doing other tasks.
I’ve listen to the book multiple times, which is rare for me since I’m so discerning about voiceover narrations.
This book was hit out of the park by both the author & the narrator who captured the tone in an engaging, attention keeping way. I even laughed out loud a couple of times. Well done!
My first day on the new job is day after tomorrow, and I feel confident and ready to hit the ground running with new standards & systems.
Having been a sales professional for years, I wish I had discovered this book a decade ago, while I’m grateful to have found it now!

BTW: My sense of Chris Lytle is that he is a person who has done a lot of personal growth work. This really appeals to me in a world so filled with “shallow end of the pool” thinking & operating. I somehow felt less alone being exposed to the thoughts from The Accidental Sales Person.
Thanks, again Chris!
