Story
“This isn't strictly speaking an instructional manual, but a work of comedic philosophy.” Elvis Costello - songwriter, singer, author, and Fender Jazzmaster known to his admirers as “The Little Hands of Concrete” - spins his tale with wit, grit, and spit to spare. How to Play the Guitar and Y, Costello’s new entry into Audible’s Words + Music series, combines recitation, impersonation, and musical illustration to show you how to turn a three-chord trick into a four-chord caper and let your curiosity take you where it will.

Did not know JP was a practicing Christian. some may be a little put off- I though it was wonderful.
Also unknown to me were his personal family hardships and challenges- well summarized in the final chapter and Coda.
His writing reminds me of Hemingway in that he is voluminous in his storytelling and vocabulary.
If I recall, PapaH took an entire chapter to describe one bullfight in ForWhomTheBellTolls?
You may find yourself going back to re-listen over a few passages.
Peterson is now a fave of mine and I joined his website/podcast. Going back for a 3rd listen and housework/home improvement.

Story
An international conspiracy among powerful bankers, business leaders, and government officials; closed-door meetings in the Swiss Alps; and calls for a radical transformation of every society on earth - the Great Reset sounds like it is one henchman-with-an-eyepatch away from being the plot for the next James Bond movie. But The Great Reset is not a work of fiction. It is a highly influential movement among the world’s elite to “reset” the global economy using banks, government programs, and environmental, social, and governance metrics.

But as my first sales manger always said, “nobody is perfect,” and so continued my string of 4’s every year on my performance review.
Gotta’ say, Bill, Martin, and Robert have changed my opinion on giving 5s.

I feel a little bludgeoned but I love Gary.
Reviewed: 01-31-21
I have all of Gary’s titles on audible and I’ve listened to them all, more than once. My only concern with WAFL is the last chapter, or actually the last three chapters, seem to run together a little bit.
I’m not sure we needed chapter 12 at all as the making a contribution and “being a player” could’ve been easily immersed in 10 and 11.
But I’m not a writer, he is, and I love his work. I’ve shared a couple audiobooks with my family and I’ve bought this title for my 30-something daughters.
By the way I’m 64 years old retired, and wayy too comfortable. My only saboteur is, myself. Be wise, Brian Mac, Hudson Ohio January 2021.
PS Gary- are you working on teens and pre-teen stuff? I sometimes have to rip my 9 year old granddaughter off the IPad to get to soccer?
