Story
Gretch Wolgast still can’t forgive Shaq for abandoning her beloved Orlando Magic, but she is moving on with her life. Two years after she helped foil a plot to destroy her and her fellow OP - the telekinetics born in Orlando in the early 1980s - she's become a federal agent investigating OP-related crime. But her boss really doesn’t seem to like her. And now she’s being forced to attend a dinner on a mysterious billionaire's yacht in South Florida. Gretch barely has time to dive into the appetizers before things get weird. And deadly.

This was a great follow up to Orlando People! Narrator continues to be incredible and really brings together everything perfectly. Lots of twists and turns with just the right amount of humor. I will be anxiously waiting for the next book (and hopefully many more after it!)

Story
Gretch Wolgast is a bit of a dud. Just ask her. She’s a 21-year-old college dropout who has a loser job at the mall. Sure, she can lift a tennis ball with her telekinetic powers. But only three feet in the air. And she has to be sitting. Gretch is an OP, one of thousands born in Orlando, Florida, in the early 1980s who mysteriously developed the ability to move things with their minds. Unfortunately, she turned out to be the weakest of the bunch. Now, Gretch’s life is being turned upside down. She witnesses a murder and discovers a wide-ranging conspiracy.

Such a great story with lots of heart and fun!

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from this story, but it definitely exceeded my expectation. I was originally interested because I am from the Orlando area, which the author captured perfectly. Gretch is one of my most favorite characters I've ever read about and I also still hold a grudge against Shaq. The story was so well told and had a great twists and turns. The character had such heart and there were definitely a few that I know to be based on some local celebrities. The narrator was incredible and I would love to listen to other stories read by her. I can't wait to listen to the next one.

Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Story
If Darcy Barrett hadn’t met her dream man when she was eight years old, the rest of the male population wouldn’t be such a let-down. No one measures up to Tom Valeska, aka the best man on Earth, not in looks, brain, or heart. Even worse is the knowledge that her twin brother Jamie saw him first, and claimed him forever as his best friend. Tom’s off limits and loyal to her brother, 99 percent. One percent of Tom has had to be enough for Darcy, and her adoration has been sustained by his shy kindness. And if she’s honest, his tight t-shirts.

Liked the characters BETTER than The Hating Game!
Reviewed: 02-11-19
Sally had said on her social media that this one would be different and it is for sure. I actually liked these characters better in a way than I did Lucy and Josh from The Hating Game because they're not so perfect. I loved how "messy" Darcy was and that she had some rough edges. I sometimes feel like romance novel women are too perfect, too virginal, so I appreciate that trope being kicked out the window, but not the idea of true love. Tom is a great foil to Darcy in his attempts to unattainable perfection. Also, can I go ahead and request a novel about Darcy's BFF, Truly? I'd love to see a book with her, it doesn't have to be with the brother either. If I had to nitpick, I would say some of the transitions were a little rough, but that's my only real complaint and what would keep me from saying that it was perfect.

Great ending to great series
Reviewed: 11-23-18
I loved this series and am happy with the ending. The author is so talented at creating such rich characters and I want to continue to find out what happens in their lives. Can I request a Delphi/Timebound crossover? That’s just what I imagined the Delphi project leading to when I started it after finishing the Timebound series.

Great second chapter in the Dumplin’verse!
Reviewed: 07-28-18
I was a little hesitant about this book at first because of how terrible Callie was in Dumplin’, but I ended up loving it! This turned into a great story about how people can hide behind personas they’ve made for themselves, but that doesn’t make them who they are. As a self proclaimed fat girl, it’s also so wonderful to see a story about a fat girl written by a real fat girl. Julie Murphy captures that so well and highlights that all of our stories are full, complex, deep, and complex. Some great cameos from Dumplin’ characters (including my favorite, Mitch) as well as new characters.

I wanted to like this, but just didn't.
Reviewed: 05-03-18
The premise of the book sounded so interesting and I was excited to start it, but it seriously fell flat. No character development at all. Characters who ended up being very bland. I wanted to give up on it every time I listened because I just couldn't have cared less about what happened to these characters. I was also not a big fan of the narrator. Her voices did not vary much between characters and some of her inflections were just off. I think the beginning needed more work before the immediate meet-cute and then maybe you'd have more attachment to the characters. I'm still so disappointed because the idea and premise had such promise, but just never got there.
