Voice & Relaxation suggestions are great!!! Listen every night around the same time and helps me fall asleep easily. I wake up more relaxed. Not sure I’ve stopped grinding my teeth, but I’m definitely more aware of clenching my jott night and at least when I’m awake, able to relax my mouth and tongue… And it definitely helps me fall asleep more easily!

Bad narrator! Character development was good, but narrator was so annoying. It became difficult to listen to the book. Think it was artificial intelligence, reading, or robot… Just awful!

Another great book by Jodi Picoult and terrific narration!
Loved the voice that brought this book to life and the overall story. Complex issues with authentic female characters. I was not at first interested in reading about gun violence in schools, but the way the story was told really brought out what it’s like to be a teenager on so many levels, & the darker side of being a parent and human frailty, and how it affects us all. I really enjoy this writers ability to bring forth the nuances and subtleties that make human relationships so complex and authentic. Great story!

On one of the half-abandoned “luxuryˮ developments that litter Ireland, Patrick Spain and his two young children have been murdered. His wife, Jenny, is in intensive care. At first, Scorcher thinks itʼs going to be an easy solve, but too many small things can't be explained.

Enjoyed this authors good writing which kept my interest piqued and the performer was good. Initially thought would be hard to listen to as I had not enjoyed the strong Irish accent of a different Tana French book, but this one was mild and the story was a page turner. Love the character development & insight of emotional depth which gave me ‘ah-ha’ moments into real life at times. Actually loved this book!

Story
On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed.

Sad but Great
Reviewed: 10-31-19
Great Historical fiction of the Holocaust seen from a young girls view. At times very hard to listen to due to the degree of harshness detailed from Auchwitz, but overall tempered well with current day love story and deeper philosophical questions that make the reader think. The reader was A+, the character development and storyline were terrific- So well written i was sad when it was over but also relieved that good things can come from such horror. I highly recommend this book!

Bewildered by his strange new home on Park Avenue, disturbed by schoolmates who don't know how to talk to him, and tormented above all by his unbearable longing for his mother, he clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, mysteriously captivating painting that ultimately draws Theo into the underworld of art.

Slow start but once past Ch 1 became one of the best books I've listened to in over 100!
As a female I didnt think id like the story from a young boys perspective but the author did such a wonderful job with language and writing that i couldn't put it down. Very Well Written w/ great character building w/ nuances that a movie could never capture. I LOVED this book....and although the narrator was fabulous as others have said, the author was also on par at A+ with her writing that I'm looking for more by not just the narrator but D.Tartt. Great Book and well performed!!!

Character development sub par. Too much from mother in law -judy's perspective. Got tired of listening to how upset she was throughout. Boring language-felt like I was reading a how to manual. The best part of the book was chapters 71-75... the end...but it took way too long to get there. I loved the readers voice, tho.
