Story
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

I thought this book was very good. Very emotional. Very touching. I was a huge fan of Lisa Marie’s, still am. That won’t ever change. I thought how the book was done was perfect. Adding Lisa’s voice was very special.
She lived a full life in a short period of time. I hate that there was so tragedy in it.

Story
For the first time in history, we have instantaneous access to the world’s knowledge. There has never been a better time to learn, to contribute, and to improve ourselves. Yet, rather than feeling empowered, we are often left feeling overwhelmed by this constant influx of information. The very knowledge that was supposed to set us free has instead led to the paralyzing stress of believing we’ll never know or remember enough. Now, this eye-opening and accessible guide shows how you can easily create your own personal system for knowledge management, otherwise known as a Second Brain.

Pretty beneficial

I like all the information and structure of the second brain and the methods that go along with it.
I think if your are using a “second brain database” like Notion, you might not need the exact PARA method. But I do think I’ll keep it in mind with my note taking strategies.
Overall this book is good and has beneficial knowledge for those interested in a learning system to help with productivity.

Worthless Read
Reviewed: 11-12-22
This book is basically regurgitated watered down information.
Extremely broad and boring.
The author seems to have just made up some “points” and wanted to put out a book to just put out a book.
There is no real actionable processes to learn from this.
If you are wanting to build a successful online business presence, I highly recommend the books of:
Jeff Walker
Ray Edwards
Evan Graham Cochrane’s book (and I don’t like him as a person) would be more beneficial than this book, The Nuclear Effect.
I wish I had my credit back.

Story
Brandi Carlile was born into a musically gifted, impoverished family on the outskirts of Seattle and grew up in a constant state of change, moving from house to house, trailer to trailer, 14 times in as many years. Though imperfect in every way, her dysfunctional childhood was as beautiful as it was strange, and as nurturing as it was difficult. At the age of five, Brandi contracted bacterial meningitis, which almost took her life, leaving an indelible mark on her formative years and altering her journey into young adulthood.

Not really feeling this one.
Reviewed: 05-12-21
I was excited to read this but after about 5 chapters, I really lost interest. I feel like anyone who is considered a celebrity is writing “memoirs”. And that is not a reason to. Also, not a fan of the 3 songs after ever chapter. Things I did learn: Brandi Carlile isn’t the easiest artist to get a long with. Kinda disappointed in that type of self righteousness. But then again, most probably are this way.

The Best Elvis Book I’ve Ever Read.
Reviewed: 03-03-21
I’ve read a tone of books about Elvis. Just like most serious fans. But this has topped them all. I just wish people wouldn’t try to sell the hard copies online for $500+! You should let others read it at its regular price. However, the narrator of this book is fantastic! And really captured all of the emotions. I highly recommend this book to all Elvis fans and those who are just getting into the world of Elvis. June Juanico, you are amazing!
