Story
After a century of imprisonment, demons have broken free of the wardstones surrounding the Worldwound. As fiends flood south into civilized lands, Count Varian Jeggare and his hellspawn bodyguard, Radovan, must search through the ruins of a fallen nation for the blasphemous text that opened the gate to the Abyss in the first place - and which might hold the key to closing it. In order to succeed, however, the heroes will need to join forces with pious crusaders, barbaric local warriors, and even one of the legendary god callers.

This one held my attention much more than others in the series. Harrowing fights and interesting characters round out the slew of fiends and spawn that they encounter

Solid Wolverine

A solid action story though I would have liked to see more into the inner turmoil and thought of Logan. The book itself cmread like a viewer watching from the outside which is okay but what makes most books great is all the internal dialog!
The narrator could have done a better Wolverine voice than he did

Drizzt and Catti-brie have been away from Mithral Hall for six long years, but the pain of a lost companion still weighs heavily on their strong shoulders. Chasing pirates aboard Captain Deudermont's Sea Sprite is enough to draw their attention away from their grief. Then a mysterious castaway on an uncharted island sends them back to the very source of their pain, and into the clutches of a demon with vengeance on his mind.

Another solid listen with Drizzt going offland and on to choppy waters. It was definitely a nice change of pace and I think I would have liked the book to entirely be on water or under it for that matter. A missed opportunity, maybe.
Still another of Drizzt longtime foes makes an appearance along with a relic of great power though albeit for a shorter time than expected
Still very much with the trip!

The millennia-old history of Faerûn is haunted with ghosts, vampires, zombies, and all other manner of gruesome undead. This anthology of all new stories is filled with the twelve most terrifying and lethal of these tales. From ancient lich kings to freshly turned ghouls; from disembodied hands to unholy, decaying angels, the dead in the Forgotten Realms rarely rest in peace.

Some good, some meh!
Reviewed: 03-31-25
There were stories that I could definitely follow and get into while others I found my self drifting or confused as to which character was speaking or who I was trying to picture. May be an issue with me but I also feel the narrator can change inflection and tone a little just to differentiate the characters. My two cents. Was just hoping for more from a series about undead. Whether the trilogy or the short stories
