Decent plot with some twists, a bit far fetched some of the details. But, movies stretch the impossible too.

I really enjoyed this book, even more than I expected. I knew Mel Brooks was very talented. However, I had no idea that he produced and directed so much. What made this book especially wonderful was hearing his voice as the narrator. There was not one boring moment for fans of Mel Brooks!

This was an honest insight into Demi Moore’s tortured life and how she overcame her past and upbringing to become the woman she is today. I always enjoyed seeing Demi in movies, and this was wonderful to see the depth of the person behind her roles on the silver screen. Anyone who has had a troubled past can find lots to identify with, thank you Demi

While parts of the book dragged a bit, this was a solid sharing of the other side of the ‘Royal’ story. So terribly sad when families don’t support each other. Can’t blame them for leaving England and the rules and protocols. Hoping their children can grow up safely and happily.

First, great narrator! She definitely added to the story in her delivery. Second, wonderful story that kept me interested (almost) the entire time. Story line kept the information flowing well with entertaining examples of how Danish life ‘is’. Very much worth the listen!

Couldn’t connect with the lead character

Thin story line with first significant plot twist halfway through the book. Main character was not believable living alone since a small child (never any health issues and she grew up gorgeous and seemingly healthy?) He silence and lack of communication at important times with other characters frustrated me. Played too much the martyr. Investigation was not believable - went to court with no substantial evidence? What happened to the Grand Jury trial to determine if there was enough evidence to go to trial? It was however beautifully written as far as imagery.

What a lovely story this was. I didn’t expect much thinking that the quilting theme was going to overpower the story. But it was a lovely story with great characters and if you are a quilter you will really enjoy how quilts were ‘sewn’ into the story. Enjoy!

A moving and well written memoir from Allen of his life. He provides wonderful insights that any reader/listener can take away. Extra bonus that Allen is the narrator in his beautiful accented style.

I found it difficult to follow the theories and story on audio. Complex theories could have used more examples perhaps.
