As usual, Mr. Stephen King does not dissappoint. The short stories are entertaining and some, a little amusing. I was especially pleased to realize that as in the past, this collection, did not emphasise the characters' bodily fluids; which always turned me off. I am confident that whoever choses this collection will experience regret when the stories have ended.

There is no novel written by Mr. Grisham that I have not read or have not enjoyed. Having once been a practicing lawyer, he gently guides his readers through the judicial system as he tells the story. I do not have to expect everything to fall into place at the end of most novels but I was somewhat let down when, at the end, this one missed the mark. To avoid telling too much, I would think that some of you will question the ending of this one.

I chose this book initially because I love the voice of John Rubinstein. As expected, the narrator did a wonderful job. But, he had his work cut out for him because of the repetition of the author. So much of the dialogue could have been eleminated to keep the story flowing. I actually skipped three chapters to get on with the story. By so doing, I found that I could continue with ease. All too many authors get stuck on a theme and cannot move on toward the end. This was the case with Brothers And Bones. Without revealing too much, I was disapppointed with the ending.

This novel seemed to go on forever. It seems that the author is being paid not only for how many words can be written, but also the amount of chapters. Who can admire a guy who invests ALL of the family's assets so foolishly. There is not that much friendship/trust in the whole world to justify the consequences. If this team of amatures are able to track down the 'bad guys' so easily; what does that say for the experts who continually target the innocents? Don't bother with this one unless you have nine hours to lose.

The narrator of this story gives an excellent performance. He makes the book very exciting. The story is a little unrealistic, but it held my interest most of the time. I found it to be well writen and would recommend it.

This is a story about a wife/daughter-in law from hell. Twenty-five years after her 'best friend' disappears she discovers that her father-in-law in a nursing home, has confessed to her that not only did he kill the young friend years ago; he buried her body in their garage in his hiome. Naturally shocked by this news, she insists on informing the police. As an investigation begins, more and more secrets are revealed that that include various members of the family. The end result is that everyone's lives are shattered and love and trusts are affected beyond repair. I so disliked the attitude of the main character who never hesitated to sacrafice the lives of her entire family as long as she could maintain her holier-than-thou status. What was accomplished? Nothing accept a trail of shattered lives.

This is what happens when tried and true authors begain to write stories too fast. Typical of Mr Patterson's novels, there are endless chapters. I found it unbelievable that a female would venture into these places by herself with just a flashlight and a old fashioned gun. Or, that a detective could have her career destroyed and whisked off to jail with very little evidence. But, what really turned me off is that I guessed the ending in the middle of the story. It was far too predictable. I would not recommend it.

I'd like to say that I am the number one fan of Mr. Grisham. I would also like to go on reacord as saying that no batter, no matter how great, should be expected to hit a baseball out of the park every time they're at bat. This is truly one of those times when this great writer, came up, short. Rogue Lawyer is unexciting, predictable and at times, even boring. But, while I was a little disappointed in his latest offering, I can very well understand, why. When he wrote about the South, he seemed to be more in his element. This book seemed to be, rushed. I think that if the author spent more time on this storyline, it would have proved to be better. Of course, this will not discourage me from looking forward to Mr. Grisham's next novel. He is still relatively, young.

This is one of those audiobooks that I was compelled to give up on, even though I lasted to the middle I kept falling asleep with this poor excuse of a novel. Yadda, yadda, yadda; saying nothing we didn't know already.

Some artists only have one good book or one good song in them. There are many classics to support this theory. But, in my opinion, that's satisfactory enough. Havibg enjoyed To Kill A Mockingbird so much that I read the novel twice and loved the movie; I looked forward to Ms. Lee's newly discovered novel with great anticipation. If I had read or listened to the audio of this newly released novel before I read Mockingbird, I would have never have kinown what a talented author she is. I'm still trying to figure out the title; it made no sense to me. But, the story was so drab and boring that it was an effort to see it through until the end. To go so far out of your way to justify why the South and their traditions were allowed to exist for centuries, was pathetic. And, to change my entire opinion of Scout's father, was disappointing. So....a 'bitch slap' across the mouth was all that was needed to bring Scout to her senses? ugh. I found ths novel to be a complete waste of my time.
