Story
This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

The Biggest Obstacles are Academic Politics

The bulk of this book is the main character tell HIS TRUTH OF THINGS. I started to understand the more i got threw it. If you like this character by the time he gets to the university you'll like him the rest of the way.
the story is pretty well established. i love the world and the main characters. the subtle differences in cultures are pretty interesting, but not fleshed out enough to fully get, (which is not needed) The main character is very determined and "clever" as the book likes to put it. He learns things quick but still has moments of acting like a teenager would. He takes calculated risks, (except with one guy in the university all the time) and knows how to charm people to an extent. (except with one guy in the university all the time)
I found his "im good at nearly everything right away" tiring after a while. Especially since most of his troubles should be easy for someone of his "cleverness" should be able to get out of. Not only is he supposed to be so gosh darn smart. He is supposed to be witty or suave too. so how is it he can't work around a school yard bully that nobody likes. Something that might also be due to this being the main characters perspective is him not being fully honest with anyone while seeming to try come off that way.
Also the biggest antagonist that school yard bully i mentioned before who happens to by a silver tunged (sort of) high ranking nobal who the main character can not seem to let well enough alone and gets him in more trouble with the school officials quite a few times. There is only one professor that does not like him and it is not because of this Bully character. Main character He deffinatly acts like a teenager in this regard.

Story
Ovid's sensuous and witty poem brings together a dazzling array of mythological tales, ingeniously linked by the idea of transformation, often as a result of love or lust, in which men and women find themselves magically changed into new and sometimes extraordinary beings. Beginning with the creation of the world and ending with the deification of Augustus, Ovid interweaves many of the best known myths and legends of ancient Greece and Rome.
