What a beautiful story.
Hearing her story in her own voice absolutely made the entire experience! I laughed with her , I cried with her and threw out a few” hell no’s” in her defense.
The book was beautifully and respectfully written but also with nothing held back. She took us on a journey of innocence, romance, excitement, determination, business, love, exploration, heartbreak and betrayal. Laying it out for the reader/ listener to understand and see intimate side of their life. Never bitter or fully angry. She spoke from the heart and it was truly felt.
I was tearfully happy for her in the end and wish her much peace in the years to come. Staying true to herself living for what she believes in.

I loved the storyline of each book. So much fun to listen to and intriguing plots and twist. I love the “average Joe” dialogue and the narrator was absolutely perfect for these books! Thanks for including the box set . They were a joy to listen to.

Story
This is the story of Barbara and Larry Savage's sometimes dangerous, often zany, but ultimately rewarding 23,000-mile global bicycle odyssey, which took them through 25 countries in two years. Miles from Nowhere is an adventure not to be missed! Along the way, these near-neophyte cyclists encountered warmhearted strangers eager to share food and shelter, bicycle-hating drivers who shoved them off the road, various wild animals, rock-throwing Egyptians, overprotective Thai policeman, motherly New Zealanders, meteorological disasters, bodily indignities, and great personal joys.

I was a wonderful surprise. I love every minute of it. I felt like I was traveling alongside Barb and Larry the whole way. I couldn’t stop listening and recommended it to everyone I saw.
It was so much fun and also totally raw and honest. I’d love to research further and see some of the photos that were taken.

Nope, I just couldn’t finish it. Feel bad I waisted a credit. It just wasn’t for me. It went on and on and on. Soon it got way too complicated.
99 % was for women who still have a menstrual cycle.
And I’m not sure why there was music in some of the background and not in others.
To me, I turned into too much of a science lecturer then a beginners guide to fasting. A lot of the stories were repeated,
I tried to hold out till the end but gave up at chapter 6. I just lost interest in the whole idea. She made it more complicated then it needed to be.

At first I had a hard time keeping all the characters in order. The Russian names confused me a bit but I stuck with it. Eventually getting everyone straight.
The story was captivating but the narrator absolutely made the entire audio!!! Her voice and inflections were a joy to listen to. She had a smile in her voice and spoke so effortlessly. I will be looking forward to books with her as a narrator.

Behind the curtain of her happy on-screen persona, Valerie Bertinelli’s life has been no easy ride, especially when it comes to her own self-image and self-worth. She waged a war against herself for years, learning to equate her value to her appearance as a child star on One Day at a Time and punishing herself in order to fit into the unachievable Hollywood mold. She struggled to make her marriage to Eddie Van Halen—the true love of her life—work, despite all the rifts the rock-star lifestyle created between them.

Raw and Honest
Reviewed: 04-03-22
I absolutely loved this book! I was halfway through and was already recommending it to everyone. It was raw and honest. Speaking volumes and touching on so many levels.
Learning to love oneself is a struggle most of of share finally seeing it possible is transforming.
I loved hearing about all the family memories, and the fact that she read it herself was wonderful. You could hear every emotion in her voice. Hearing the catch in her voice as she spoke of some of the saddest moments in her life to actually visualizing the smile on her face as she joked and spoke of the most joyous and happy times . It really helped me to take a closer look at the way I self shame myself and the fear of being judged. This book was like looking through a freshly cleaned window and seeing everything beautiful. I definitely will listen to this book a few more times.
