Story
With authoritative reporting honed through eight presidencies from Nixon to Obama, author Bob Woodward reveals in unprecedented detail the harrowing life inside President Donald Trump’s White House and precisely how he makes decisions on major foreign and domestic policies. Woodward draws from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand sources, meeting notes, personal diaries, files, and documents. The focus is on the explosive debates and the decision-making in the Oval Office, the Situation Room, Air Force One, and the White House residence.

This is a MUST READ!

Woodward has it together, all the way. This is a look into the current administration, it is a frightful view! What makes this book so important is how well sourced Mr Woodward’s books are and have always been. In Fear, we are shown an administration imploding on itself because of the amorality, the over 5000 lies told by 45, as well as his inability to learn anything. I’m glad to have the ability to have been able to get this unbiased, non-political look into the most unqualified and frightening administration and president our nation has ever needed to endure. Every so often, we are treated to a truth so obvious we cannot, should not look away. Fear is an important look into the nation 45 is attempting to turn the USA into. And, the many, many people who still stand for an America that stands up to more than 5000 lies (so far), and 45’s inability to read or, concentrate on any actual information regarding 45’s duties as the president of all the USA, not just his sycophantic base of less than 30%. The book’s most common theme is: We are all Americans, we want our president to succeed, regardless of party, to succeed in the job. However, in 45 we see an unqualified and, ill tempered child in trump’s presidency . It is the what drives our common Fear. Once you read this book you will understand the truth within it’s pages.

Story
This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

The Stand was a work of incredible story telling. Having read both the 1975 and 1988 versions of this iconic tale of good versus evil, I enjoyed listening to this amazing story. It's one I'll relisten, as it brings the characters alive as only the medium of imagination can do.

Story
The true story of Barbara Stager, a devoted mother, loving wife, and dedicated church leader who committed an almost perfect crime. By all accounts, Stager seemed to lead the perfect life in her community in Durham, North Carolina. After her husband, popular high school coach Russ, died tragically, the police were inclined to believe her story - that she accidentally shot him. Suspicions rose when the police discovered that Stager's previous husband had died similarly 10 years prior.

Way too many Hypocrites, way too much Christ

What would have made Before He Wakes: A True Story of Money, Marriage, Sex and Murder better?
It was just too "Christ(ey) for my tastes. This kind of flagrant hypocrisy makes my skin feel as if I've rolled in honey and laid out over the feeding path of an entire nest of hungry African Fire Ants.
Dunno, perhaps this is the only town on Earth, will not find something..... Not right about the preacher, the nice white police don't do harm, something not once have people looked away from a child's pain because mom and dad are so nice and Christian?
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I felt as if I was listening to a sermon, a really long, one, on wooden pews even, in an air conditioner-free church, sitting next to the one flatulent, yet un-cleaned, clean guy and they've begun to close the double doors of the Church........
Get my point?
What three words best describe Kevin Stillwell’s performance?
Good, w/Bad materials......
Any additional comments?
Please stop trying to hide your religious slant when selling a Christ-fest as this book had gone way over the separation of Good True Crime, and any religion.
Thank you for reading my thoughts.

Story
Leon Uris retums to the land of his acclaimed best-seller Exodus for an epic story of hate and love, vengeance and forgiveness. The Middle East is the powerful setting for this sweeping tale of a land where revenge is sacred and hatred noble. Where an Arab ruler tries to save his people from destruction but cannot save them from themselves. When violence spreads like a plague across the lands of Palestine - this is the time of The Haj.
