Story
Many business owners are frustrated because they feel invisible in a crowded marketplace. They know they are better than their competitors, but when they focus on that fact, they get little in return. That's because, to customers, better is not actually better. Different is better. And those who market differently, win. In his new marketing book, Mike Michalowicz offers a proven method to position your business, service, or brand to get noticed, attract the best prospects, and convert those opportunities into sales.

Audiobook is the best way to experience a Mike Michalowicz book. Love the humor!
The title immediately grabbed me. I love different. I love approaches that stand out. I've never wanted to "fit in" so this really spoke to me from the get-go. I enjoyed hearing about the different campaigns and suggestions for brainstorming. Now I need to complete the bonus materials and GET DIFFERENT... and have fun doing it. :D

The narration by Erin Mallon was wonderful. Laurie Elizabeth Flynn's twisted story gripped me, especially when the reunion started. The book took a dark turn into suspense and mystery that had me hooked ... and disgusted at the horrible acts some people are capable of.
Cautionary tale. The ending felt justified!

How do I begin to express the mind trip and emotional spiral this series has sucked me into???
I've got nothing but praise for the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiak. 🍒 The cherry on top of the tongue (Elise's favorite flavor!) is the voice performance by Keira Stevens and Troy Duran. #DreamTeam Standing ovation. 👏🏻 Keira puts tears into her narration whenever Elise's heart is breaking over her dead brother, FIRE when she's angry, taunting, teasing, fear, and friendship. She's a one-woman wonder who drowned out the world around me as she gripped my ears between her lips.
🎧🤩 Troy Duran's performance of FIVE different males is utterly masterful! I'm in complete awe. He could have been five different performers based on the skill he used to give each male their own unique voice and personality.
I am nearly finished listening to book 2. As of this writing, there is one more of the books in audio (book 3). PLEASE tell me book 4 and 5 are in the works for audio!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The story and characters are larger than life. Their dark pasts and secrets add to the mystery and allure of every second spent in this addictive world of magic, Fae, paranormal Orders, corruption, and courageous sleuthing.
Part of me wants to binge, another is trying to hold back to put withdrawals off a little longer.

I did not read any reviews of House of Earth and Blood before listening to the audiobook. I still haven't read a single review. I am a massive Sarah J. Maas fan girl. I knew starting a new series meant getting to know new characters in a new world and to be patient. What I didn't expect was for this to become my new favorite Maas novel.
All the feels! The emotions Bryce and Hunt put me through were turbulent and soul shattering. Their friendship was everything. Their love transcended tragic pasts, race, bigotry, stereotypes, and social status.
This captured my heart and soul!

This book consumed me from the opening chapter. The characters swept me away. The world pulled me in. Lara and Aren's mistrust of one another, mixed with their devastating chemistry, was hot. The tension throughout had me listening intently. Lauren Fortgang's narration was just perfect. I actually preferred her reading Aren's parts more than the male narrator during Aren's POV chapters.
One little extra that I loved in the audiobook was the sound of thunder and rain between chapters. It created a really cool ambiance.
This is one I'm happy I came into late so that I could immediately begin listening to book 2 as soon as I finished 1. (Waiting would have been torture.) Highly recommend and plan on gifting.

The mystery and wonder continues in Legendary. I listened to the audiobook, once more riveted by the wonders of Caraval.
Tella was a fun, spunky ball of energy. I did miss Scarlett who I relate to more. (Big sisters unite!) And my heart belongs to Julian 4ever. 💛❤️ Fingers crossed that Scarlett gets more page time (and a POV) in Finale.
I'm wild about this series! 🎆

But this year Scarlett's long-dreamt-of invitation finally arrives. With the help of a mysterious sailor, Tella whisks Scarlett away to the show. Only as soon as they arrive, Tella is kidnapped by Caraval's mastermind organizer, Legend.

Pure delight! Full of surprises. I loved the mix of magic and creepiness. The characters were superb as was the relationship that developed. Mad love! 😍😘💕

Powerful!
I figured from all the hubbub this book's been receiving it had to be something special. "The Hate U Give" by Angie Thomas was all that and more. I listened to the audio version narrated by Bahni Turpin and I can't imagine experiencing the story any other way. Turpin breathed life in the characters and had me laughing out loud in all the appropriate places with her voices.
Despite the injustice and seriousness of the overall subject matter, "The Hate U Give" was eye-opening, thought provoking, and empowering. And entertaining as all get out!
Highly recommend!
