Story
I was just a cop on my beat when the world ended. My last memory was of an alien death ray ripping me from existence. When I woke up in a strange world, I should have just laid low. But, when you see a woman running from slavers. Well, let's just say they got what they deserved. Only problem is that makes enemies—demigods with the power to bind the magically gifted women of Timeria to their will. I can stop them, with powers bestowed by a god. But, they come with a catch; I must bind these women, the Chosen, to my very soul. Just like the demigods I want to stop.

male VA sounds way to anxious and puts emphasis where it doesn't need to be. during the seductive scenes he sounds super annoying with over emphasis on everything related to the woman and doesn't even try to be sultry at all! no husky voice or even getting "into" character. it's making regret spending a credit on this, I know his vocal range isn't that great but still he can try, if I was a beta listener for this, I would say he failed this story but a better choice for deku for English dub, just my personal opinion

Story
Reborn in a crypt, Nick was given an ancient heritage and an important task: to become king, and make the Archaens rise again. Nick was now the last one, and he would need to find allies by forming Soul Pacts with both followers and wives. With the power of the Soul Knight class, he would have to use both paladin and necromancer magics to conquer the tower and defeat his enemies. But not all was right, in or outside the tower. A bandit warlord had taken control of the city of Havendale, and a deathly Trial within the tower lurks, barring Nick from collecting his Heritage.

liking it so far, just don't get the long hair at all. even with the viking it was stylized and left dangling. long hair even if stylized is very disadvantageous due to it being a leverage point and another point of contact near the head. that was all my complaints for now, I just don't like the whole REALLY long hair that serves no purpose other than "looks", shorter hair is better as imo frames the face better

Story
The Splinter came, and the world ended. Ryne Miller woke up five hundred years later. Now, all alone and with no one he knew left alive, he chances across humans among the concrete wilderness. And these aren't people like him. No, these are stone-age like tribespeople—three women whose tribe has been slaughtered by a Great Beast. They seek a Chieftain. One who can lead them into glory. One who can harness the power of the crystals and its magic-giving mists.

typical MC and villain dislike the approach, MC is not smart and acts on feelings with ZERO PRAGMATISM
Reviewed: 07-06-24
the beginning and middle of the story was fine, it was up until the end where spoiler mapal Ryan's old landlord who runs through the whole shtick of "no, your wrong and I'm right!" and the MC not understanding that he had no control over any of the situation leading up to the end then also never explained that if does so does she and she being completely out numbered and they never capitalized on that and making sure she doesn't get the upper hand... BUT NOOOO!!! Never have I seen an audible book or Kindle book MAKE THE DAMN MC ACTUALLY SMART!!! ALWAYS OLD WORLD THIS OLD WORLD THAT AMD CANT FORGET, "WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS!?!?!" AND NOT RECOGNIZING THE ABSOLUTE STUPIDITY OF THAT QUESTION ITS JUST SO BOTHERSOME. if you want to pull out your hair over the typical end that makes all books the same then do so I'll listen to it but I hate it still just bc the MC can never actually be smart

narration of the mc feels dead
Reviewed: 12-24-23
I tried to listen to it but the utter lack of emotion and attempt of forming emotion is horrendous. not only does the mc feels like an automation but also speaking like a robot, yeah no thank you. sadly I spent a credit on it I wish I could have back. if the MC had some emotion in his voice it could have turned out better. don't buy if you can't listen to a guy who puts monotonous math teachers to shame

destroyed the story with the Queenie Bond
Reviewed: 09-28-23
this is going to be a rant with limited punctuation. The whole Queenie thing ruin the entire story It is absolutely astonishing how he can write off a character he's given enough screen time to actually make you think she will become one just to throw in a character because of a mutation with zero time. Sybil would complemented precision and pretty much everyone else including Aden, if you think about it the absolute insane possibilities with her and the evolutions possible is just beyond the mutation. The author really ruined his story 100% with adding Queenie just because, I do not recommend continuing unless you like the voice actors That's it The story has been ruined for me unless and I will come back to it if it has changed and update this review but I will say it is not worth it for right now as I am now finishing this book with about 3 hours left after skipping many chapters because I could not stand the whole queeny bond. I could not believe a character with almost no time became a bond just because of the mutation that's it That's the only thing that ruined it mainly because Queenie is also hated by everyone else in his harem. he is a weak minded individual that the author does not know how to write properly too many stats not enough realization in his come to Jesus moment basically. too much righteous and selfless speeches that he doesn't follow in the f****** slide it's even though he says he does with one act here another act there and maybe a mass defense. just like politicians and bureaucrats people with power are f****** stupid and selfish and self-centered. that is the only thing I can say that the author did put right show it all bureaucracy aristocrats and self-centered superpowered individuals. The only thing that really kind of saved this was the voice actors mainly Jonathan Waters, I do enjoy his narration not so much Maeve very limited in her range in voice acting but I won't fault her for that for as you have to be very good at what you do to have a very good range but it's respectable. now we can say goodbye to Demis and Sybil thank you author for ruining it

everything about the story was good or great or best. a bit sad that it was only three books probably could have been stretched out a little bit more to flush it out in my opinion where it feels a little bit rushed towards the end of book 3. and I really dislike Lexi's character no sense of loyalty It just rubs me personally the wrong way metaphorically not physically.... All the other characters are good.
