Story
In this powerful book, the renowned exorcist of Rome tells of his many experiences in his ministry as an exorcist doing battle with Satan to relieve the great suffering of people in the grip of evil. The importance of the ministry to "expel demons" is clearly seen in the Gospels, from the actions of the Apostles, and from Church history. Fr. Amorth allows the listener to witness the activities of the exorcist, to experience what an exorcist sees and does.

Story
In Reasons to Believe, Scott Hahn, a convert to Catholicism, explains the "how and why" of the Catholic faith - drawing from Scripture, his own struggles, and those of other converts, as well as from everyday life and even natural science. Hahn shows that reason and revelation, as well as nature and the supernatural, are not opposed to one another; rather, they offer complementary evidence that God exists. He is someone, and He has a personality, a personal style, that is discernable and knowable.

bro had illumination at 22 years old after meditating regularly for a few months? then takes one frase of Jesus “the kingdom of heaven in within” out of context and has now become enlightened. Then bro accidentally becomes a billionaire after bro unwillingly was a coding genius. Very positive thinking and abundance thinking kind of thing that privileged people such as Mr. “nah im just gonna not finish my PHD” say, but then what about people with real problems such as extreme poverty should do? just let go? not resist, right? like the part of the story where he goes to Mexico and glorifies poverty saying is people there know how to live in nature, difference is they have no choice. Privileged wishy washy american pseudo spiritual guru stuff. Also i disliked that he is supposedly spiritual but keeps saying it was the “universe” or “lifes” teaching, no little bro, its God.

Even people who don't know football know Pelé. The best of a generation of Brazilian players universally acknowledged as the most accomplished and attractive group of footballers ever to play the game, he won the World Cup three times and is Brazil's all-time record goalscorer. But how did this man - a sportsman, a mere footballer, like many others - become a global icon? Was it just by being the best at what he did, or do people respond to some other quality?

Story
In Drug Use for Grown-Ups, he draws on decades of research and his own personal experience to argue definitively that the criminalization and demonization of drug use - not drugs themselves - have been a tremendous scourge on America, not least in reinforcing this country's enduring structural racism. Dr. Hart did not always have this view. He came of age in one of Miami's most troubled neighborhoods at a time when many ills were being laid at the door of crack cocaine. His initial work as a researcher was aimed at proving that drug use caused bad outcomes.

Extraordinary. A must read for everyone. loved it

I absolutely loved this audiobook, it totally changed the way I view drugs and drug policies. It is informative in an objective way about the effects that drugs have on people who use it both medically and recreational. It also talks about why the legal status of drugs is the way it is globally. It made me feel that I too as a drug user have big responsibility to change the current situation surrounding drugs and drug users, because the current situation is inhumane and claims innocent life's each day.

Story
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.
