This was my first book by Deborah Garland and I really enjoyed it! It had a good storyline, it wasn't just fluff to fill in around the spicy parts. Of which there were many!! 🌶🌶🌶🌶 And every spicy scene wasn't just a repeat throughout the book.

I honestly liked both characters a lot. Eoghan's devotion and obsession with Jillian was swoony and they both had good quips. Jillian was serious about her career but she didn't end up becoming obnoxious about it. That's never my favorite in books.

The narrators were great! Jillian's narrator really captured who she was and fit the part perfectly. And Eoghan's narrator. Wow he did great with the accent! It sounded so natural to me, not overly done. I'm pretty picky with accents and pass on audiobooks if I think I can't handle it, but he really knocked it out of the park.

Great new series to have picked up and I'm on to the next now!

I thought this book was very well written. A fascinating and very chilling story. Even as a true crime junkie, this story did have moments that turned my stomach. The author's tagline was very accurate, the most meticulous serial killer in the 21st century. The way the story was told was slightly reminiscent of Ann Rule. Very detailed and lots of background.
I have seen a lot of reviews about the narrator. I do agree that at first it does sound very much like amazon's Alexa telling the story, however as you listen on, that fades and you can clearly hear the inflections in her story telling. As for her imitating a male's voice, it sounds pretty much the same as any female trying to sound like a man. No better or worse. In regards to her not having a seperate voice for each male character, well I'm not looking for a dramatization and it's the author's job to help us discern which character is saying what, not the narrator. I had no trouble following along.
Highly recommend this book.
