About this listen

Unhinged. Charming. Dangerous.

The brother of the man I’m prosecuting and now my stalker.

I didn’t know Eoghan O’Rourke was a lawyer for the Irish Mob when I tried to put his brother in jail.

And I shouldn’t have gotten drunk and yelled at him.

I certainly shouldn’t have gone home with him.

But I needed to get rid of my V-Card and a gorgeous mafia man who would never fall for a curvy woman like me is the perfect one and done.

Boy, was I wrong.

Eoghan turns obsessed, jealous, and unhinged.

I’m a prosecutor.

He’s a criminal.

We have nothing in common.

And every reason in the world to stay enemies.

But when the Cosa Nostra targets me, Eoghan makes the ultimate sacrifice to save me.

Only, falling for a mob lawyer is the real danger I can’t escape.

This was my first book by Deborah Garland and I really enjoyed it! It had a good storyline, it wasn't just fluff to fill in around the spicy parts. Of which there were many!! 🌶🌶🌶🌶 And every spicy scene wasn't just a repeat throughout the book.

I honestly liked both characters a lot. Eoghan's devotion and obsession with Jillian was swoony and they both had good quips. Jillian was serious about her career but she didn't end up becoming obnoxious about it. That's never my favorite in books.

The narrators were great! Jillian's narrator really captured who she was and fit the part perfectly. And Eoghan's narrator. Wow he did great with the accent! It sounded so natural to me, not overly done. I'm pretty picky with accents and pass on audiobooks if I think I can't handle it, but he really knocked it out of the park.

Great new series to have picked up and I'm on to the next now!

Entertaining!

Love the story, but why have two voice actors if they have to read separately? Her having to deepen her voice and act out his scenes while he makes his voice higher to act out her scenes? Why? 🤨 It’s distracting and stresses me out. Takes away from the story and seems unnecessary.

Dual but separate narrating doesn’t work

Really became interested in chapters 60 Or 70. Too much self doubt bc she thinks she’s fat. Ugh. Too much talk about her weight and too much sex and no story line until the later chapters. Give me a good storyline!

Not a fav
