Story
For Samantha Gale, a summer on Martha’s Vineyard at her family’s tiny cottage was supposed to be about resurrecting her career as a chef, until she’s tasked with chaperoning her half-brother, Tyler. The teenage brainiac is spending his summer at the local library in a robotics competition, and there’s no place Sam, who has dyslexia, likes less than the library. And because the universe hates her, the library’s interim director turns out to be the hot-reader guy whose book she accidentally destroyed on the ferry ride to the island.

This book was excellent for a quick and cute summer read. I loved the plot, I loved the characters, and I was instantly hooked from the beginning. Sam and Ben’s chemistry is off the charts! I love how the male main character is the bookworm and I love how he would read books to Sam to share his love for books. I love that Sam recommended to her best friend Emily and how they supported each other and I loved how she bonded with her little brother Tyler. This story was so cute! I couldn’t get enough. @mckinlayjenn did an excellent job at bringing awareness to people who suffer from dyslexia 👏🏻.
When Sam comes home for the summer after being laid off her job, the summer she thought she would have was completely different. Sam’s a chef who happens to be dyslexic. She hates reading only because she can’t read the works due to her disability. She’s spending the summer back in her hometown of Martha’s Vineyard. Ben is a librarian on a quest to find his father. What they both least expect is a summer fling. This book is perfect to read right now as we are in the heart of summer, highly recommended.

Haven Ambrose, a trailblazing nautical archaeologist, has come to the sun-soaked village of Positano to investigate the mysterious shipwrecks along the Amalfi Coast. But Haven is hoping to find more than old artifacts beneath the azure waters; she is secretly on a quest to locate a trove of priceless gemstones her late father spotted on his final dive. Upon Haven’s arrival, strange maelstroms and misfortunes start plaguing the town. Is it nature or something more sinister at work?

✨My Review:
I really wanted to love this one more but for whatever reason, I couldn’t connect or relate to the characters. What I loved is the setting being over in Italy and the story about being about a nautical archaeologist who is exploring sunken boats that have shipwrecked off the Positano Amalfi Coast. This story goes back and forth between present day with Haven and back in time to the 1800’s. I would still recommend this to anyone who has it on their TBR list. It’s worth a read.

✨My Review:
Delilah was short and sweet. We got to see what happened to Caroline after the tragic events that unfolded when she was a kid. It was good to see the closure she and we needed from this story! I wanted it to be longer but it also didn’t need to be! Thank you Ariel for writing these beautiful but tragic books! They really pulled at my heartstrings.

Story
According to the FBI, I was considered a serial murderer after three kills. What do they call me after fifty-two? They call me the Silencer. One final bullet would have been all it took to stop me from taking another soul, and I would have been doing Meridian City a service by pulling that trigger. An angel crying for help stopped me, and that night, I took three lives for her. Then three turned into eight. Then eight turned into twenty. Twenty turned into twenty-one. Twenty-one turned into twenty-three.

Elena Young moves to New Jersey to work for the best law firm in the country hoping it will help her get into law school and she can become one of the best lawyers in the country. Soon she meets CEO Christian Reeves who is dark, handsome, and mysterious.
One night on her way home she’s dragged into a dark alley by 3 men and when crying out for help she is saved by none other than “The Silencer” who is a masked serial killer that the cops can’t catch with a big bounty on his head.
This book was such a wild ride! I felt like I was reading another kind of a 50 Shades of Grey book but with much darker themes to it. The story is wild and I loved Elena and Christian. Caroline was so adorable. The Silencer is creepy, scary, and menacing. I was not prepared for this ending. I was left 🤯 and feel so empty, hallow, and broken. I can’t believe what happened. IYKYK. The audio to this book was amazing! The narrator did an FANTASTIC job!

Story
There's no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.

I devoured this book! I loved the two main characters Xavier and Samantha. The banter between the two was so cute. I loved the supportive family dynamic with Samantha’s family. This story does have some darker themes than her books usually do but I didn’t find it too terrible. This story really resonated with me since I’ve been in a long distance relationship and had to take care of my grandpa before he passed away. I’m a firm believer that Abby can do no wrong and any books of hers will always be a 4/5 star read for me.

Story
Veterinarian Marie Lehr knows unrequited love all too well after pining for her best friend, only to watch him marry another woman. It's a mistake she will never make again, especially not when she can practically hear the clock ticking on her childbearing years. The trouble is, she can't seem to find anyone who appeals to her even a fraction as much as that burly bush pilot did. Competitive musher Tyler Brady certainly doesn't, especially not after the heated altercation with the handsome but arrogant, spiteful man. Or so she thinks.

✨My Review:
I was so confused starting this book because I didn’t read the synopsis and just started listening to the book and soon realized it was a story about Marie, Jonah’s best friend, and not about Jonah and Calla. 🤪
When I stopped being confused I soon got into the story and couldn’t stop listening to it. Marie is a veterinarian who is secretly in love with Jonah and when Jonah marries Calla, Marie swears to not put herself in that position again and dives into working and taking over her dad’s Veterinarian business. She soon meets Tyler who is a musher from Finland who races dogs. Their relationship starts off on the wrong foot but can they repair it?
It really sucks that this series is over! I thoroughly enjoyed all the books and overall give the whole Simple Wild series 5 ⭐️! If you haven’t read these you should!

A Love Letter To Whiskey is about a love story between two friends B and Jamie who can’t seem to find the right time to be together because of the trails life brings them. It takes place from them graduating high school, going to college, and then figuring out what to do with their lives while they talk and communicate off and on for years. I wanted to love this story but when both of them cheated on their boyfriends or girlfriends to be with each other, it turned off the story for me. Both of them clearly love each other but refuse to be together for whatever excuse they made at that time. I hate cheaters so that’s what ruined the story for me.
As for the writing I think Kandi did an amazing job. The writing was beautiful and so was the story when it wasn’t revolving around infidelity.

When Jonah arrives on her doorstep with a proposition she can't dismiss, she takes the leap and rushes back to Alaska to begin their exciting future together. But Calla soon learns that even the best intentions can lead to broken promises, and that compromise comes with a hefty price - a log cabin in rural Alaska that feels as isolating as the western tundra.
