The first half was a whole lot of exposition. So much so that I almost stopped listening. I'm glad I stuck it out because the second half of the book was satisfying.

I listened straight through with No interruptions!! This is not my typical genre (I like non-fiction and mystery/ thrillers.) There was a lot of sex. surprisingly a lot of sex. Maybe that's common for this genre, I don't know. The mystery/thriller portion Did Not Disappoint!! A friend recommended this as the best first read in the author's works and I can't imagine it could get better than this but I'm going to read more of her work to see how the others measure up. Highly recommend, even if you normally default to other genres!!!!

I almost stopped listening after the first 15-20 min. The main character was so unlikable. Then the story began to intrigue me and I was actually glad I kept listening. Glad the whole thing was just over 60 min because I wouldn't have tolerated much more but not a bad listen during my commute.
