X. Aratare has started a really ambitious story with this series. Epic fantasy in a world where humans are struggling to find their footing, complete with a great cast of characters, intricate lore, and hidden agendas. My one critique is that I don't think 15 chapters really shows how good this story is. There are about 90 on her website and I think the scale of this particular story would require that she and HGR put out larger volumes so that readers can really appreciate just how epic this story is becoming.

mostly good

I love this series. It's one of the best series I've ever read and definitely one of my favorites. However, there were a few issues that took me right out of the story in this performance. The narrator constantly mispronounces certain names in the story, like Macedonia, Carsodonia and Collins. it drove me nuts. very disappointing performance from a great studio.

Riveting!

The story was actually really good and the worldbuilding was well thought out. the smut was also incredible, honestly. My only complaint is that the two kings never became involved with each other sexually, but maybe there will be some mention in the future. It took most of the book for them just to become friends, so lovers would have been a bit of a stretch.

This story is so thrilling and addicting to listen to! I love the way the relationship between the main characters grow and develop over the course of the book. The politics are also a fascinating addition and the ending made me gasp with anticipation.

This book is like the written equivalent of sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for that moment the roller coaster will plummet and you'll have an amazing ride... but not knowing when the actual plummet will come. But in the most enjoyable way!

Holy Hotness!

this entire story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. the relationships, the mutual pining, the angst, the longing, the love, affection, gentleness, and dynamics between all the characters was just so amazing! it's like lightning in a jar. I cannot wait for book 2 and I'm already a bit sad that these 4 men aren't the main characters throughout the series because I would happily read a dozen books centered around them!

the narration was amazing, too. the voice actor really nailed the intensity of each moment and the desperation the characters had for each other. my favorite character is definitely Enar, but I love all of them. can't wait for the next one!

Absolutely Hooked!

This story hooked me almost from the very beginning. The characters have complex motivations and histories that make me root for the protagonists and at the same time wonder how they're going to proceed. The book does not proceed the way I expected in any way. Every turn is surprising and sometimes the decisions the characters make are unexpected. I can confidently say that I was kept on my toes the whole time. The world building is fascinating, and I'm left wondering how it will all become relevant later in the series. The main character is relatable and I'm looking forward to spending more time getting to know her and seeing her grow as the series progresses. My only complaint is that I have to WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK TO COME OUT AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

This entire book was amazing! Edward Fox is phenomenal! I'm addicted to this series! The angst of separation, the mutual care and devotion, the climactic ending! This book was a fantastic sequel to the first and I love it!

I love this podcast

These people are total nerds. They reach new heights of mediocrity almost reaching space. The best part is how often they just get off track and talk about stuff that's totally unrelated to the Wheel of Time. I think Jenny should stay and Nae'blis should be demoted to Blis when Recappa Sedai recovers and returns to take over as Nae'Blis.
