Fun listen

Entertaining story and throws a lot of possibilities at you so it's not easy to know who to trust! Like others mentioned, the choices of the main character make her a little annoying at times but overall pretty good story that keeps you interested.

Story
Over the past few years, Brianna Wiest has gained renown for her deeply moving, philosophical writing. This new compilation of her published work features pieces on why you should pursue purpose over passion, embrace negative thinking, see the wisdom in daily routine, and become aware of the cognitive biases that are creating the way you see your life. Some of these pieces have never been seen; others have been read by millions of people around the world. Regardless, each will leave you thinking: This idea changed my life.

Story
This transcendent story follows four college friends who move to New York City, buoyed by ambition: Willem, an aspiring actor; JB, an artist; Malcolm, an architect; and, at the center, Jude, a withdrawn, brilliant attorney haunted by an unspeakable past. Through decades of shared and separate lives, Jude’s suffering - and its impact on those who love him - raises questions about the limits of human endurance, the possibility for redemption, and the meaning of friendship.

A fine book
Reviewed: 01-15-23
Okay so this book is circulating everywhere online and those who have read it seem to like to show that off. But I decided to give it a try. I just finished it and overall, it's a good story, good characters, a storyline that you can't immediately guess which is nice. However, no contemporary book needs to be over 800 pages. Throughout the book, so much detail is given, so much time on each topic/conversation, that it makes me feel like the author is full of herself. Like why do you think you have so much genius in you that you're going to write a book that's over 30 hours long. Is it a good book? Sure. Is it a life changing book? Absolutely not. This is not a must read.

Story
A groundbreaking investigation into the digital underworld, where far-right operatives wage wars against mainstream America, from a masterful trio of experts in media and tech. A political thriller with the substance of a rigorous history, Meme Wars is the astonishing story of how extremists are yanking our culture and politics to the right. And it’s a warning that if we fail to recognize these powerful undercurrents, the great meme war for the soul of America will soon be won.

10 min in and pepe the frog is pronounced wrong
Reviewed: 11-17-22
I'm only on chapter 3 but the narrator grossly mispronounces Pepe the Frog... can't take him seriously. Seems like they could have caught that mistake or chosen a narrator who's vaguely aware of memes.
