loved the book because it wasn't the typical love story between a man and a woman, but the main character needed the boy just as much as the boy needed the mother figure 💙.

Worth listening to. Her voice is charming.
Reviewed: 10-08-15
What did you like best about You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost)? What did you like least?
She is charmingly honest, had a different life to live and tells it to a degree that makes you want to listen to her. It got better as I got into the story, and understood more of the life path that she took, what she has done, and accomplished. I was interested as the book went on showing how she rose in prominence, the Internet supporters raised her up, but how she makes a negative comment, and it goes all wrong.
What was most disappointing about Felicia Day’s story?
Took quite a few chapters before I got to feel more in track with the book, or story.
Could you see You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
On YouTube, and the actors as themselves.
Any additional comments?
I would recommend this book to pretty much anyone, whether they know who Felicia Day is or not. The writing is good, and her narration adds to it. I plan on giving copies to my kids (who are in college), as her life experiences in college and making plans for her future are charming, and identifiable to anyone who has gone through high school and college friendships and the identity years, of what to do, and uncertainty of where you are going is the right choice.

Story
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

Wow!Quite a book that stays with you. Top 100 list
Reviewed: 09-28-15
What made the experience of listening to The Book Thief the most enjoyable?
Narration... the influence of my German, Polish heritage, stories from my parents, and of their grandparents.
What about Allan Corduner’s performance did you like?
Loved his portrayal of Rosa, and Liesel, her saying to her mother, "yess mama", while Rosa called everyone, dirty pig, saumensch, and saukell.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Poppa letting Liesel know that he knew she beat the crap out of a boy, and she asked if Rosa-momma knew... and his reply, "you're still alive, aren't you?"...
Any additional comments?
I loved the viewpoint of the story, as seen thru the eyes of war ravenged Germany; the hardships of growing up, the first hand views of trying to stay on the right side of the Gestapo, the hatred by Hitler in Germany of Jews, and Communists, and what Liesel saw growing up. I loved the commaradry between Liesel and Rudy. Loved the book thief's visits to Ilsa's libray. Lastly, a note about Death's own comment, about how people are scared of ghosts, and he is scared of people. I found it intriguing how Death took Liesels book , and didn't return it until he came for her. You saw the love that Liesel had for her foster parents, Max, and Rudy.
Quite a unique story.

Relive your life, remembering the good old days.

Would you listen to Boy's Life again? Why?
Yes. Its timeless, to remember the magic of growing up, reliving the good , the bad, the tragic, the magical days of childhood. Robert McCammon created a wonderful book that I will keep in my private list of keepers.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Cory, the main story character, but there are so many. I smiled as I read on, and could put myself into the story.. which I think is why the author aimed for this. You feel like you are there.. of course some of it is make believe, but that is what we had in child hood.. our imaginations.. going to the matinees , riding our bikes, playing sandlot baseball till dark or we lost all baseballs. etc.
Have you listened to any of George Newbern’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes its very hard to put down. It hooks you from the beginning.
Any additional comments?
One of the finest books I have read. I completely enjoyed it, and would recommend it to any fans of nostalgia, and enjoy bits of trivia, or remembering the past along with the topics being wrote into the story. Its a fun book..

As good a Thriller as the first!

Where does The Hit rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I was pleasantly surprised with the first book, enjoyed listening to it, and the characters. I hoped it continues thru D. Baldacci's writing. Jessica is a good add in to the franchise.. and look forward to reading or listening to the third.
If you’ve listened to books by David Baldacci before, how does this one compare?
It was good, although I was disappointed that there wasn't enough of Julie (his teenage friend) nor SuperAgent Nikki Vance written into the book. They were introduced in the first book, but sadly, there wasn't enough mention of them or details given to them.. I would have like to read more help from Vance, as well, as input from Julie. The authors direction of Will Robie is he is conflicted to not become emotionally intertwined or care for people, yet he clearly is with Vance, and Julie.
What about Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance did you like?
I became familiar to the characters from the first, and they become them. They add some depth to the chapters, and keep me wanting to find out what happens next.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
All the bad-ass of a squad, in one man and one woman!

What made the experience of listening to Zero Day the most enjoyable?
Good narration, fast paced.. good listening book.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
It kept you wanting to continue to find out how he solves the case. Least interesting is the comparison to Lee Child's "Jack Reacher". Having read Reacher, this feels like a rip off.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
*Spoiler* Sad that Sam died. Some parts are really implausible.. like his backpack with all the stuff you need to defuse a nuke,, and surviving a nuclear blast, hurled 100 feet in the air.. really? Try doing that.. no shattered bones, or crushed skull? really..
Any additional comments?
I wish the other books go on sale. Then I will buy them, or recommend them.

Story
Will Robie may have just made the first - and last - mistake of his career.... It begins with a hit gone wrong. Robie is dispatched to eliminate a target unusually close to home in Washington, D.C. But something about this mission doesn't seem right to Robie, and he does the unthinkable: He refuses to kill. Now, Robie becomes a target himself and must escape from his own people.
Fleeing the scene, Robie crosses paths with a wayward teenage girl, a 14-year-old runaway from a foster home. But she isn't an ordinary runaway....

Will Robie is a kick-butt kind of guy!
Reviewed: 04-02-15
What made the experience of listening to The Innocent: A Novel the most enjoyable?
The story line was fast paced, as you ventured on, you were like peeling away layers and learning more and more.. the deeper in trouble that was unfolding for Robie and his young friend, Julie.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Innocent: A Novel?
Will was a serious, tactile, precise man. I loved the banter between the mouthy teenager, Julie, whom he befriends and protects when her parents are murdered, and she's on the run. I also enjoyed the connection he had with Agent Vance of the FBI. I wish he and she could have continued somehow in a partnership in future books.
What aspect of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance would you have changed?
I disliked some of the music or sound effects added at the end of chapters. It made it cheap, or cheesy... it was unnecessary for my listening pleasure.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I found this an intense thriller that made me enjoy playing it. I wanted to find out more and more.. which is what makes a good thriller/action story.
Any additional comments?
2/3 of this book were close to 4 stars.. some were 3 stars. I dislike how when I give a lower rating, Audible changes the questions.. and it reflects different ones when you go above 4.
I wish they would let me select a rating of my own, like 3.5, or 3.9.
This would make a good movie. I look forward to reading or listening to future Will Robie stories.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

What made the experience of listening to The Martian the most enjoyable?
The narration, and log style report of how things go for Mark Watley keep you wanting to find out what happens next One of my best downloaded audible books this year. His MacGyver-like style of figuring things out want you to be like him, or to be stranded with him if your ever in a situation like that. Every day is a test of survival.

Any additional comments?
So why if he had all those potatoes, why didn't he distill vodka? Use his little plutonium canister he used making a bathtub? Overall, this story just begs for a movie to be made from it. So much more there than "Gravity" with Sandra Bullock.
