The author has an amazing way with words. And the narrator is just perfect for this story with her voice starting to tremble at the most painful moments. It is an art to be able to convey this emotion to a reader/listener.

I finished listening to this book in just a few days. It was so captivating. Loved authors humor and how she told the story. And narrator was just perfect, never monotonous, always reflecting perfectly the mood of each scene.

Kids love the ocean - it’s mysterious and unknown, home to monsters of the imagination and some of the most fascinating life forms on the planet. But while many grown-ups might love being by or on the sea, how much do we actually know about the world beneath the waves? In this follow-up to A Grown-Up Guide to Dinosaurs, evolutionary biologist, Professor Ben Garrod, takes the listener on an oceanic journey from the beginning of life on Earth to the present day, discovering what the ocean actually is and why it’s so important in the evolutionary history of life.

The ocean is my greatest fascination and combined with good storytelling, these podcasts are a water for my thirsty soul. I greatly enjoyed how it is presented in a non complicated manner.

Good, but...

Good content, empowering for women, perfect narrator for this book. I give it four only because I red/listened to his previous books and this one repeats a lot of ideas, stories. I loved his other books and they were perfect, but in this one, it feels like he just copied parts of his earlier books and gave it a new title.
