Couldn’t stop listening. Love all her past books but this is my favorite. Carolyn Lee’s voice is perfect.

Narrators we’re good. Loved the design details of story. I’d categorize this as young adult fantasy reading; sex scenes robotic. Just sayin. . .

Story concept was interesting at first but became very repetitive. Though I felt empathy for main character, also wanted to shake her. I give narration a C-.

This was a touching story about a horrific time in our recent history. Well written historical fiction but confusing pronunciations by average narrator. I recommend hard copy.

This book grabbed me at the first word. A timeless historic world-Wide study of plants and human origins. If you liked where the Crawdads sing, the Orchardist, and Barbara Kingsolver books, you will love this.

Thank you, Elizabeth Gilbert. Narration was excellent.

I loved this story on so many levels and identified with the lead character, Agnes. The narrator was excellent. I recommend to anyone who has been a mother or a daughter

Jodi Picoult, master storytelling once again.

This story, like every other Jodi Picoult story, was masterfully written and researched. After listening to Jodi’s comments at the end, I gave the “performance” a higher rating. I agree with the other reviewers about the singing. I fast forwarded during every performance. I would have preferred maybe a beginning and ending song, eliminating ALL the middle ones. I admire Jodi for writing the lyrics, though, and for her work helping children. Wherever does she find the time. I enjoyed her reference to some of my favorite artists, Leonard Cohen and Eva Cassidy.

In the future, I would love to hear an interview with Jodi at the end of her books, talking about her research on all of these sensitive topics.

I know and love most all Joni Moyes books. Parts of The Peacock Emporium were good but, overall, I would not recommend. Frustrating reading/listening to the first chapters and not knowing timeframe or reference point.

Though this is a young adult genre, this 70 year old Reader loved it, sans the dialog between the teenagers. I not only liked but related to each character (parents and teenagers). The narrator could have done a better job on the male voices (not all of us have the gift).

This book especially touched me since I was adopted infant in 1948 who recently met my siblings and biological father at age 70.

I highly recommend. Thank you, Robin Benway, for this gift!
