Story
Paul Bäumer is just 19 years old when he and his classmates enlist. They are Germany’s Iron Youth who enter the war with high ideals and leave it disillusioned or dead. As Paul struggles with the realities of the man he has become, and the world to which he must return, he is led like a ghost of his former self into the war’s final hours. All Quiet is one of the greatest war novels of all time, an eloquent expression of the futility, hopelessness and irreparable losses of war.

I never read this book while in high school. It’s too bad the leaders of the world wouldn’t read and take to heart the message that was us and always has been hell on earth.

Not quit sure why Murphy wrote this book, nor am I sure why I continued to listen to chapter after chapter… I guess just to honor his effort.

Story
Revelation was written because God wants us to know what the future holds. For Christians, the prophetic truths within provide wisdom, reassurance, and discernment - while for unbelievers, Revelation is a plea to receive God’s grace while there is still time. Best-selling author Amir Tsarfati examines what Revelation makes known about the end times and beyond.

Taking the mystery out of Revelations
Reviewed: 06-14-22
Amir presents Revelation in a straight forward manner. I appreciated beyond words how he didn’t attempt to present his interpretation of Revelation but, carefully presented his view of what John and the spirit of God was trying to communicate by frequently directing the reader to other portions of scripture to build a solid foundation for the the reasons he holds the opinion he holds regarding each area of explanation he presents. I found this book not only enjoyable to read but revealing at a level heretofore I have not come across from the many commentators I have read related to understanding the book of Revelation. We’ll worth the time.

Story
Something sinister is going on in Baronville. The rust belt town has seen four bizarre murders in the space of two weeks. Cryptic clues left at the scenes - obscure Bible verses, odd symbols - have the police stumped. Amos Decker and his FBI colleague Alex Jamison are in Baronville visiting Alex's sister and her family. It's a bleak place: a former mill and mining town with a crumbling economy and rampant opioid addiction. Decker has been there only a few hours when he stumbles on a horrific double murder scene.

Story dragged the first half. Too many moving parts to make it real. The voice of the female reader oftentimes was annoying and distracting. I love Baldacci but not so much this book.
