Entire Series is Great
Reviewed: 11-25-24
This entire series all five books was so good, never a dull moment and the narrator is absolutely amazing the amount of characters that she had to beyray and give voice to was crazy and every one of them sounded different you knew exactly who was speaking when they were speaking there was no confusion at all. The whole series was creative and original. I really really enjoyed this whole series. Going to look more into this author and narrator.

Long Time Coming
Reviewed: 07-19-24
The performance of this was good I enjoyed that the narrator was very good at differentiating between the different characters voices, but for the first 40 chapters it was nothing but a love triangle it took that long to actually get to the mystery of what was going on and then it was a little predictive there was only one little twist.
Overall it wasn't a bad listen it kept me entertained

Story
After arriving on Block Island to find her birth mother, Blake Bronson becomes convinced she’s the heroine of a gothic novel—the kind that allowed her intermittent escape from a traumatic childhood. How else to explain the torrential rain, the salt-worn mansion known as White Hall, and the restless ghost purported to haunt its halls? But before Blake can discern the novel’s ending, she’s found dead, murdered in a claw-foot tub. The proprietress of White Hall stands accused.

Just when I thought I'd overcome the biggest obstacles my fae mates and I could face, I find myself in the hands of their greatest enemies. Enemies who have far more power than we ever imagined. Enemies who hold so much more sway over my life than I want to believe. I have to escape, and not just to warn the men I love and defend the home I've made with them. The longer I remain, the more these villains can use me to destroy everything I care about. If I fail now, the entire faerie world will crumble.

Took a while to get to the point
Reviewed: 05-29-24
There's nine books in this series and it took a while for it to all come together, there was a whole lot of sex which was more filler than anything. The story was okay I liked it I do enjoy this author's books my only real complaint is narration there's a female and male narrator. I wish that it had been recorded with the female doing only female characters and male doing only male characters.
Having them switch back and forth and doing both parts is difficult to follow and you get used to listening to one voice and then all of a sudden you're listening to another voice doing the same characters and it gets a little muddled.

Boring

I'm only on chapter 4 and it goes to 36 or 38 there's no way I can even get that far. I'm bored with the story it's not making a whole lot of sense and the narrator has a very hard time distinguishing between the voices, I can't tell who's speaking.

whole series is great

I really liked this whole series, the story lines were different from other books I have listened to, there was never a boring moment. I liked that the characters got their own books it was nice to understand their background of who they were and how they gotten to where they were. I appreciate the male female narrators when they both do their respective part.
If I had one complaint it was having 3 sets of narrators, you get used to the characters and their personalities and voices and then the next book comes along and it's a completely different set of narrators and you have to settle into the characters all over again and then the same thing for the last couple books. Overall I would recommend the series.
