The latest book in the series is just a continuation of Ashley Weaver's writing excellence. The plot is engaging and compelling, the characters are true to self, the constant tug on my curiosity and the well written range of character emotions just means the story ended too soon. Highly recommend this series.

I really like the story idea, the concept is good and it could have been really compelling. The author needs to tone down the almost constant emotional turmoil of the main character though, JLB has got the drama and emotions ratcheted up to 10; she needs to dial it down several notches. The narration does not help, it hurts in this case. The narrator pours a lot of emotion and enunciation into her performance which takes this already angst riddled story into unnecessary overdrive. Narrators make or break a storytelling, this story should have had a different voice.

the complexity of this story along with the number of characters with such strong personalities SHOULD have mandated a narrator capable of doing multiple voices, inflections, tones. However that is not what happened. I can imagine how rich and entertaining this would have been had they gotten a proper narrator. A narrator breathes life into a story, it's truly unfortunate that this narrator, who is not capable of doing that, was brought on to do this series.

Truly, the frequency with which the heroine experiences violence and maltreatment at the hand of 4 or more antagonists becomes insufferable. I'm struggling to stick with it long enough to finish.....

story line was good but frequent cursing is not necessary to the story line and detracts from the book overall.

The Tower of London is an amazing trove of legend and lore, haunts and history!!! Such an exciting topic should have been enjoyable to listen to but unfortunately it was not. Comparable to a dull chapter in a grade school history book. The narrator has a nice deep voice however they was not much inflection or change of time to kindle and type of emotion.

Llyana Kadushin was a BAD choice as narrator

I had read the books and maintain an affinity for the tale but the choice of narrator is extremely unfortunate. Her tone and cadence, her line delivery is harsh, unappealing, lacking depth. The Bella Swan character becomes unlikeable when performed by Llyana Kadushin and that is ruinous to an audiobook series.
