Story
Kate Swenson, Adrian Wood and Carrie Cariello are from different parts of the country and backgrounds, but they were brought together by a singular experience: they are each a mother to a child with autism. Together they have shared laughter, tears, victories and the unconditional love that molds their lives. Kate, Adrian and Carrie have children with very different autism profiles, and in Autism Out Loud they write about their unique experiences on a variety of topics, from diagnosis to caregiving, schooling and aging.

It is so interesting to see Autism in so many ways. I have a 32 year old nephew with Autism, ADHD, OCD, and Anxiety. I’ve watched my sister spend a huge part of her life dealing with all the same things these 3 wonderful families have dealt with over the years. Highly recommended for EVERYONE to read and learn. I purchased audible for me and the hard copy for my sister.

Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

What a sweet book about a young boy, who lost his mum at a very important age. Being raised by strangers, a very dysfunctional family and only a therapist to help guide him.

Great characters and great story, but that is what we have come to expect from this very talented author. Todd Haberkorn did a great job with the narration. It was very easy to follow the story and easily recognize which character was speaking. All 5s for Mr. Koontz who developed a very different story and Mr. Haberkorn for bringing them to life.

Brilliant as Always

Ms George has such a way with words, characters and subject matter, that one forgets in between books just how brilliant she is. As always, I could barely put the book down until the end. As the end came closer and closer, I began to wonder, “how long before the next book?”.

Terrible Narrator
Reviewed: 02-26-20
The narrator was so terrible I couldn’t get past Chapter 8. I can hear her mouth making sticking noises like she needs a drink; no changes in pitch - monotone; the worse part - I can hear GURGLING noises from her stomach - echoing from her mouth - ugh!! Just horrible. I can’t tell you if the book itself is a bore, but the woman reading it will both gross you out and make you fall into a stupor! Bad, bad, bad!!
