Story
Pretty and popular high school senior Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh, who then killed himself. It was all anyone could talk about. And five years later, Pip sees how the tragedy still haunts her town. But she can't shake the feeling that there was more to what happened that day. She knew Sal when she was a child, and he was always so kind to her. How could he possibly have been a killer?

Even better than Netflix show
Reviewed: 10-11-24
I'll admitt I came to buy this after binging the Netflix show, needing to end the cliff hanger before the next season aired. They always say the book is better than the movie and I whole heatedly agree. Even knowing what I thought I knew from the show I enjoyed every minute of the book and will now be diving headfirst into the rest of the series. Amazing story, twists and turns and reveals throughout. Great audio book performance! Bravo!

Story
AD 573. Imprisoned in her chamber, Languoreth awaits news in torment. Her husband and son have ridden off to war against her brother, Lailoken. She doesn’t yet know that her young daughter, Angharad, who was training with Lailoken to become a Wisdom Keeper, has been lost in the chaos. As one of the bloodiest battles of early medieval Scottish history abandons its survivors to the wilds of Scotland, Lailoken and his men must flee to exile in the mountains of the Lowlands.

Story
In a land of mountains and mist, tradition and superstition, Languoreth and her brother Lailoken are raised in the Old Way of their ancestors. But in Scotland, a new religion is rising, one that brings disruption, bloodshed, and riot. And even as her family faces the burgeoning forces of Christianity, the Anglo-Saxons, bent on colonization, are encroaching from the east. When conflict brings the hero Emrys Pendragon to her father’s door, Languoreth finds love with one of his warriors. Her deep connection to Maelgwn is forged by enchantment, but she is promised in marriage to Rhydderch, son of a Christian king.

A beautiful story rooted in some truth. Love, duty, motherhood, war... Couldn't put it down.

Kazgoroth, the Beast, has come into the world to destroy the power of the Earthmother. Changing its shape as needs be, the Beast goes across the island of Gwynneth, corrupting everything in its way. Its destination is a large gathering of Northmen raiders at Oman's Isle, in the middle of the Moonshaes, where they are preparing an assault on the kingdom of Corwell. The Northmen don't realize yet that this is going to be more than just a plundering raid.

Good story but broken narration
Reviewed: 09-19-20
The story I really enjoyed but the narration is problematic for me. There are several parts where it sounds like they went back and made edits for single words or entire sentences. These parts cause a break in the flow and made it hard to listen to for me. It wouldn't be so bad but the overall sound is completely different from the story to the edits.
