Men of War on the Dorsai worlds, men of Faith on the Friendly Worlds of Harmony and Association, men of Science, the Exotics of Kultis and Mara, and the Splinter cultures which had produced even stranger new talents. Those who knew said it was the Dorsai who supplied soldiers to the sixteen worlds. The Friendlies supplied cannon fodder, common soldiers who could be relied on to obey orders at all times. But even cannon fodder can sometimes produce genius.

Two Birds as the Case May Be

You have to at least like that. Even if you do not love it such as I do. This is the only way I can get the things done I really need to do and still have time to read a book. Yes it is quicker for me to read a book and then do my work but this lets me do both at the same time so no loss to me.

I do love this and how else can you drive and read a book. I could call my spouse and have her read it to me over the cell phone but I live in the mountains of N CAL so not so good service. I would have to park for the good parts. Always did have to park for the best parts anyway.

The enemy couldn't have picked a better time or place to launch their long-planned attack against the Empire. But Sten won't give up without a fight.

DARNED. Cause if it was the fleet of the Darned every one would be getting Sewn up in the Plotz as when the Plotz thickened.
If you read the book where the Plotz thickened You would know from where I spake. Look all that up in your Funk and Wagenal or not such as the case maybe.
All of the Sten books are so damned great it is had to remember which is the best but this one is not shabby

The Second Time Around It Should be an X as in TEN

Any thing from these guys has to be a TEN as in Number Ten Thousand GI
That is a compliment to Chris for his days playing in the South East Asia War GAMES
I got to go play in 68/69 Funny thing is I came in in Second place also.
I think the guys with the big glasses and funny nose rigged the game when he was dancing on the tables in Paris or is that GAY PAREE!
The book I bought within days of it coming out as I did with all of the Sten Books. The old guy at the book store ordered them for me as soon as he knew they were coming out. He knew that I really liked Chris as I had met him just once and was really suprised he knew of me and a little gig I did in SEA where a bunch of us went North to Play and then ran like heck to get out of town.k
Just as so much of what Sten had to do while he took care of the empire and sometimes the Emperor. TA DUMP that is a small drum roll if you please!
I would still give my left one to have a knife that his in my arm like stens did. that is Way cool. It could probably be done in this day and age. Just finding a doctor to cut you to be able to do that part would be hard to find. The knife I can get a ceramic knife that will do the job but it is not indestructible. It is also not just one or even two or three Molecules wide dang me dang me they aught to take a rope and hang me.
I have bought this very book three times now. at least now a theif or a fire can not take it away from me.
