Educational, Thought Provoking and Entertaining

I love this book and finished it faster than my usual time for a book this size. Reason, it's simply great! I also want to point out D. L. did a great job with the narration as It is such an important part of an audiobook. Although the topics are serious in nature and touched basis with many current and past social injustices, it was read with sincerity, hope and a slice of D. L. Hughley's comic genius.

loved it! loved it! I'm a drummer that played in a hard rock band on the strip around the same time period that the contents of this book speaks of. Being a part of the rock scene back in the day, It was great hearing Bobbie's story from her perspective and personal experiences with the people, places and times that were pivotal in shaping LA's hard rock scene and some may say, the American hard rock scene. A Great tell all!

I really loved this book. I tend to like books that are narated by the author but in this case the narrator did a stellar job. My most memorable moment was Sammy's childhood. This a great rags to riches story with all its turbulence and rockin roll moments along the way!
