Really Romantic!!

This should be an Amazon miniseries novella!! A tale of loving someone for who they are not their lineage and fighting for it .. to the death if needed. What happened to this kind of love today? Also.. quite a different take on an undercover cop. Never considered there was likely something like this in days of old. Great descriptions and the narrator did a great job at making sure each character had a different accent or tone in their voice so you can distinguish who is speaking. REALLY loved this more than I thought. Listened to the WHOLE thing in one day!!

I absolutely loved this!! Listened to it multiple times and laughed like the first time. I so hope that Audible collaborates with this group to make more episodes. Kate McKinnon and her sister Emily are GREAT!!! The RAVEN..... The BEST!! The Sirens....OMG they were FABULOUS!!! POOR Odin.... he just wants to be a regular guy w/a regular wife and do his own thing. The commercials in between!!! YAAASSS .. Queen of the Night Realm!!!

Story
Hunter Armstrong sauntered back into my life unexpectedly, all lopsided grin, mischievous eyes and rugged determination. Not to mention a huge heart. He's nearly impossible to resist, but that's what I have to do as we follow the clues in a trail of love letters from a century ago. But with every new twist in the story, this treasure hunter seems to set his sights more firmly on reclaiming my heart.

LOVED IT!! Worth the ride!!

I have always loved Lauren Blakely books and this one didn't disappoint either!! Loved the "twist" and the character perspectives. Loved the chase and the Da Vinci Code innuendos. Who doesn't love a 2nd chance romance??!! There is ALWAYS hope out there!!!
Although I have my own personal list of male voice readers I look for when picking Audible books .... (1. Sebastian York; 2. Shane East) I NOW have a new one on my list!!! He's one of those guys you put at the top of your "if only" list...ya know?
Scott Eastwood did a great job with the audible books performance even though he may have had a little reserve of how it may have portrayed vs acting in person. Although... I can't help but think when he is voicing the characters of older gentlemen in the story if he is channeling what he thinks his Father sounds like...LOL.
P.S -- Is it just me or does anyone else wonder who has an "are you clean and I'm on the pill" talk in the heat of the moment?

Story
When the mother that abandoned them years ago suddenly shows up and moves them to New Hampshire, Madison has no choice but to go or lose her family. Shoving her dreams aside yet again, she tries to make a life for her siblings only to discover that nothing is going the way that it should. It's really cold. Her fifteen year old sister acts like a hooker in training. Men act funny around her. Her boss is a real jerk. She feels like an outsider.

I love the twist of the typical vamp story that this has. I have listened to MANY a romance stories lately and this one was a nice surprise. Not sure why the other bad reviews so PLEASE don't go on the reviews alone before giving this a try... as I almost did. I listened thru this in 2 days..LOL. Nice to hear some new paranormal entities introduced to a vampire world. Were there a couple of holes in the story line....sure. But not bad enough to make this a bad book. I would 100% recommend the listen. So glad that there are loopholes to fate and that in the end everyone gets what they deserve.

I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. The idea of being without him cripples me but the reality is, he's gone. He doesn't understand, and I can't make him. If only he'd see the conviction behind my words - then Liam would still be here.

To get as much feels and heart in this story about the life of a DOD (Department of Defense) wife means you have been there, or know someone who has. I have been an Army wife so ALOT of this story mirrors my own life in TOO many ways. I just didn't have a "Liam" in my world.
Great story and I LOVE that each book keeps up with little nuggets of the same group of friends throughout the series as they progress.
My only complaint----WHAT ABOUT ASHTON !!!???

I thought that Josh was too controlling and the military stuff would never subside. Then... you understand why. Maybe too much military lingo for the average civilian female, but Lily's art balanced it well. Quite an unusual take on a "prince saving the girl". Worth the time to listen to. Would highly recommend!!
