Full of intrigue and surprises yet written in a most accessible way keeping me engaged throughout. One of the most enjoyable reads this year as it took me down an unexpected yet quite interesting path unknowingly.

Loved the backdrop of the 60’s era and JFK presidency. The arc of the story weaves many of the hopeful changes that were underway throughout the time around the assassination event.

Riveting, well written and yet another masterpiece by Ken Womack. In this case, Mal Evans' son, Gary, also participates not only in the audio intro but throughout the untold story as a key source. Having read many tomes about the Fab Four and always hunting for additional details, I feel this entire documentation is just that...full of unearthed details or confirmations of others. It moved me to purchase physical copies as holiday gifts...and of course one more for me. Simple cannot get enough of this incredibly important and nearly lost compliment to all else that's ever been written or reported. Mal deserves nothing less. Cannot wait until volume two!

With this eye-witness detail and responsibilities, this account provides credibility to at least one error if not others. Worth a listen. Would be great to detail what happened after.

Engaging story and inviting performance combine for a real ride from concept to conclusion. I am now seeking other author mysteries given how well this entertained and enraptured.

Mark's story, his career as a Sideman, was everything unexpected from a "rock star." There was no ego, just the opposite. Laid bare, this sideman was a family man first, against all R&R odds. His delivery is one that is grounded, without fanfare, even one that touts how lucky he's been having worked with many of the greats - from Lennon, Joel, Jagger, Starr to many more. I truly didn't expect to stick with a story being a bit lucky myself in the music industry. Yet, Mark is instantly someone you want to be friends with, work with, rely upon and support. Kudos to a Sideman that can add author to his stellar career. To me, he's no longer a sideman, but a star in his own right - I'm hunting for his latest vinyl release as I submit this review. Looking forward to all that lies ahead...

The Storyteller Audiobook By Dave Grohl cover art

I wasn't yet the fan I am now of Dave Grohl after reading this humble, humorous, and captivating tome. It was one of the few times I slowed down the audio presentation to real time so as not to miss a single word. Many in Grohl's sphere are the artists I grew up with a revered. Of course, seeing Grohl participate in many events with my favorite artists, too, made me curious as to who he was, with a much deeper dive than Nirvana alone. This book does it - does it all - and more. Truely the Storyteller, I am about to now dive into some of his work with a quite different approach and appreciation.
